Overall have been very pleased With dr. Fletcher and the staff here. I did want to throw out a word of caution For everyone to do their own research on need vs. risk of dental x-rays. I know this is a controversial subject, But any amount of radiation is very potentially harmful And can cause more damage In the long run As it has an accumulative effect. I have developed Since my last dental x-rays, A very sensitive Skin issue around my mouth. In doing some research I think it is what is called radiation dermatitis. My insurance covers a dental check up and cleaning every 6 months, but I think getting x-rays At each check up is too much. One of the suggestions I found stated that adults That aren't at high risk for cavities Shouldn't get dental x-rays more than every 2 to 3 years. Do your own research please and make an informed decision. The risk of cancer With repeated radiation Could pose a greater risk than a cavity. Bottom line take away: Let's all try to take good care of ourselves, Including our teeth. And after you have done your own research, don't be afraid to say no to...
