I recently visited the Dallas location of Chiloso Mexican Bistro, and I must say it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Having previously enjoyed amazing service at the Frisco location, I was shocked by the complete opposite experience here. I ordered a chicken bowl, but upon returning to my office, I discovered it contained pork. Due to religious reasons, I cannot consume pork, and I felt very upset and sick knowing it was in my meal. I returned to the restaurant to speak with the manager, hoping to resolve the issue. I was informed that the beans I chose contained pork, but there was no indication or way for me to know this, as I assumed they were vegetable beans. When I requested a refund, the manager was extremely hostile and unkind. She spoke in Spanish to a colleague in a derogatory manner, which I understood and found deeply offensive. I felt degraded, unwelcome, and as if I was being treated as a problem rather than a valued customer. Despite remaining calm and explaining my situation politely, she refused to issue a refund, stating I needed a receipt. I explained that I wasn’t given a receipt but showed the transaction on my Apple Pay and credit card. However, she still did not help me. The entire encounter left me feeling disrespected and humiliated. This was the worst service I have ever received, and I would strongly advise against speaking with this manager or visiting this location. For anyone who values decent customer service and respectful treatment, I cannot recommend this place. My experience was truly disheartening, and I hope no one else has to go through what I did. I will provide the mangers name also, did not obtain it during that interaction.

This was our first time going to this restaurant. When we were trying to look at the menu to see what we wanted, the menu items kept being replaced by drink specials. It was hard to be able to see the menu long enough to decide. When I finally decided on the grilled hatch chili burrito and tried to order it, they looked at me like I just tried ordering cheeseburger and fries at a Mexican restaurant. The lady had no idea what I was asking for, even though it was right there on the menu. They then said they didn’t know if they still had that item. I was then told they had it but it was different and I had a choice of sauce toppings. I asked for the green chili sauce listed on the menu. They then proceeded to charge $19.20 for a burrito which was listed at $15 and some change on the menu. They’ve obviously never seen green chili sauce in their lives because what was on top of my burrito was no where near a green chili sauce. When I asked about it, they insisted that’s what it was. The sauce was so ridiculously spicy that it made the food inedible. I tried scraping the sauce off but even the small amount that had soaked into the tortilla made it impossible to eat the burrito. Your food should not be so damn spicy that you can’t even eat it, especially when you don’t tell your customers that it is like that. My mouth burned all the way home, over an hour away. Nobody bothered to explain how ordering worked and we were bot the only ones there confused about them having specific menu items but then it being a build your own burrito bar.

Casa Linda location will get over! Richardson location was so much more quality!! I come in here often because I live across the street and everytime I have to advocate for the things that are included with the meal!! Like drinks with the kid meal for children 12 and under! Scrutinizing asking how old are the children before releasing the cups and it’s obvious you can see they are small! I dnt want to believe it’s racism but it’s the only other option! Like right now I’m standing here waiting for 3 orders of tacos that I placed at 12:52 PM and it’s now 1:16PM the prices are over hyped and no one here barely speaks English!! FLYE ARE EVERYWHERE AND THIS IS INSANE customer service! People are literally standing in here waiting for orders placed 30 mins ago!

I’ll start by saying that the food, once it’s been prepared correctly and according to your order, is always fantastic. 100 times better than Chipotle with quite a lot more variety to offer. However, the service is hit or miss, and ordering online, side items are almost always left out. Because of this, we made sure to check our bag before leaving today, though the young woman said “Everything is in the bag. It’s correct.” This was not the case and her attitude about her mistake was absolutely unacceptable. She ignored me and as soon as I said “Ma’am, we’re missing some items,” she literally walked away and did not respond or look at me. The gentleman on the line began to help us as she protested under her breath, telling him that we shouldn’t have all of the items that are literally listed on our receipt (not really sure what her problem was, but she was absolutely out of sorts) and grumbled until the older gentleman completed our order. It was literally just sauces and chips that were missing this time, and they are clearly printed on our receipt, so it’s a far slight better than incorrect orders in the past, and easy enough to fix. She, must not have agreed and her attitude was ridiculous.

I’m not always a salty boi, and in customer service situations, I’m quick to take a bit of sh*tty service with a grain of sand as a customer, but never as a manager from my own staff. Having been in the food industry previously for about 12 years and as a general manager, bad service was always serious issue when encountered, but it’s important to give the benefit of the doubt when considering the stresses of a busy atmosphere.

Understanding that there are understaffing issues as well as Covid-related stresses due to extra safety measures, and that stresses are higher now, I am not upset that we might need to double check our orders. Mistakes happen. But her c-word-ey attitude is not acceptable. Two thumbs down to the salty girl, two thumbs up...

I love Chiloso's food. I've been to this location a few times and the food is generally pretty good. However, the customer service of the GM (Edward Green I believe) was awful. After ordering my food, I began looking at the drinks and asked the young lady making my order how she liked the hard lemonade. This particular girl is very friendly and has given me great suggestions in the past. She tell me she likes the raspberry habanero hard lemonade, so I order it. After receiving my food, I wait at a nearby table for my drink to be made. The gentleman making my drink asks me if I wanted my drink made with lemonade. I tell him yes as I ordered a hard LEMONADE. He then begins to tell me about how I ordered it wrong and how this throws off his inventory. He figures out what the young lady charged me for and then tells me what I should've ordered (both drinks were the same price). I literally chose a drink from the menu with no modifications, so nothing he was saying made any sense to me nor did I care. Even if I had made modifications, you don't preach to a paying customer about them throwing your inventory off. If anything, you inform the cashier on how to ring up the drink correctly if it needs to be done a particular way. At the end of his speech, he didn't even say "thank you" or "have a good day" as I did. Horrible service on his end. I'm a pretty nonconfrontational person, but as I sat in the car, I thought about how unprofessional and unacceptable the service I just received from this guy was. So, I called back up to the store to get his name. The young lady answers and informs me that he's actually the GM of the store. This guy needs to go back to training as he of all people should know how to treat a customer. I've spent good money at this location and will sadly...

Been a Chiloso regular since 2010 at the Rockwall location..Love the breakfast tacos, OMG quesadillas..and grilled avocados/ avocados by morning..and decided to try Casa Linda location since it's on my way to work..cute interior but parking is a pain. Cant beat when they offer the $1 breakfast tacos, but keep in mind it's a max order of 10 😥 I like to stock up so I have breakfast for.the fam, for the week so I dont have to rush in every day or so..Prices have increased a bit, but i guess that's about right as I'm sure the cost of ingredients can influx drastically in a matter of no time... But yall...the quality is there! 10/10 recommend.. Dont forget to try their signature jalapeno ranch sauce..and their red salsa..think its called Enojada? Delish...

To David or whoever reads this: I went recently to Casa Linda and got my usual breakky tacos and was wondering what chilis you use for the roasted peppers...In rockwall, they've always been mild nice roasted flavor...but at CL they loaded me up and I swear it was some of the spiciest jalapenos I've ever had 😳 And I LUURRVVVEE spice! About ripped me a new "area" the next morning..if ya know what I mean! Just curious if you normally use jalapenos or hatch or some different green chili, so I know how much to have them put on next time...lol

And if you're interested in opening another location..Old Town Village (Greenville/ Lovers/Southwestern) there's a nice Greenville facing storefront that opened up over the last cpl months (where Baker Bros Deli was) Would be amazeballs if you can open in that spot...so you can take all my money, as I work close by and I can turn my colleagues onto yall as well.😂 That location would do MASS biz! Hopefully...
