I’ll start by saying that the food, once it’s been prepared correctly and according to your order, is always fantastic. 100 times better than Chipotle with quite a lot more variety to offer. However, the service is hit or miss, and ordering online, side items are almost always left out. Because of this, we made sure to check our bag before leaving today, though the young woman said “Everything is in the bag. It’s correct.” This was not the case and her attitude about her mistake was absolutely unacceptable. She ignored me and as soon as I said “Ma’am, we’re missing some items,” she literally walked away and did not respond or look at me. The gentleman on the line began to help us as she protested under her breath, telling him that we shouldn’t have all of the items that are literally listed on our receipt (not really sure what her problem was, but she was absolutely out of sorts) and grumbled until the older gentleman completed our order. It was literally just sauces and chips that were missing this time, and they are clearly printed on our receipt, so it’s a far slight better than incorrect orders in the past, and easy enough to fix. She, must not have agreed and her attitude was ridiculous.
I’m not always a salty boi, and in customer service situations, I’m quick to take a bit of sh*tty service with a grain of sand as a customer, but never as a manager from my own staff. Having been in the food industry previously for about 12 years and as a general manager, bad service was always serious issue when encountered, but it’s important to give the benefit of the doubt when considering the stresses of a busy atmosphere.
Understanding that there are understaffing issues as well as Covid-related stresses due to extra safety measures, and that stresses are higher now, I am not upset that we might need to double check our orders. Mistakes happen. But her c-word-ey attitude is not acceptable. Two thumbs down to the salty girl, two thumbs up...
Read moreI love Chiloso's food. I've been to this location a few times and the food is generally pretty good. However, the customer service of the GM (Edward Green I believe) was awful. After ordering my food, I began looking at the drinks and asked the young lady making my order how she liked the hard lemonade. This particular girl is very friendly and has given me great suggestions in the past. She tell me she likes the raspberry habanero hard lemonade, so I order it. After receiving my food, I wait at a nearby table for my drink to be made. The gentleman making my drink asks me if I wanted my drink made with lemonade. I tell him yes as I ordered a hard LEMONADE. He then begins to tell me about how I ordered it wrong and how this throws off his inventory. He figures out what the young lady charged me for and then tells me what I should've ordered (both drinks were the same price). I literally chose a drink from the menu with no modifications, so nothing he was saying made any sense to me nor did I care. Even if I had made modifications, you don't preach to a paying customer about them throwing your inventory off. If anything, you inform the cashier on how to ring up the drink correctly if it needs to be done a particular way. At the end of his speech, he didn't even say "thank you" or "have a good day" as I did. Horrible service on his end. I'm a pretty nonconfrontational person, but as I sat in the car, I thought about how unprofessional and unacceptable the service I just received from this guy was. So, I called back up to the store to get his name. The young lady answers and informs me that he's actually the GM of the store. This guy needs to go back to training as he of all people should know how to treat a customer. I've spent good money at this location and will sadly...
Read moreBeen a Chiloso regular since 2010 at the Rockwall location..Love the breakfast tacos, OMG quesadillas..and grilled avocados/ avocados by morning..and decided to try Casa Linda location since it's on my way to work..cute interior but parking is a pain. Cant beat when they offer the $1 breakfast tacos, but keep in mind it's a max order of 10 😥 I like to stock up so I have breakfast for.the fam, for the week so I dont have to rush in every day or so..Prices have increased a bit, but i guess that's about right as I'm sure the cost of ingredients can influx drastically in a matter of no time... But yall...the quality is there! 10/10 recommend.. Dont forget to try their signature jalapeno ranch sauce..and their red salsa..think its called Enojada? Delish...
To David or whoever reads this: I went recently to Casa Linda and got my usual breakky tacos and was wondering what chilis you use for the roasted peppers...In rockwall, they've always been mild nice roasted flavor...but at CL they loaded me up and I swear it was some of the spiciest jalapenos I've ever had 😳 And I LUURRVVVEE spice! About ripped me a new "area" the next morning..if ya know what I mean! Just curious if you normally use jalapenos or hatch or some different green chili, so I know how much to have them put on next time...lol
And if you're interested in opening another location..Old Town Village (Greenville/ Lovers/Southwestern) there's a nice Greenville facing storefront that opened up over the last cpl months (where Baker Bros Deli was) Would be amazeballs if you can open in that spot...so you can take all my money, as I work close by and I can turn my colleagues onto yall as well.😂 That location would do MASS biz! Hopefully...
