I got my glasses here in January bc they accepted my insurance. I had a pleasant experience and actually recommended them to friends. It took about 2 weeks for me to get my glasses which is to be expected for new frames, lenses, etc. Once I got my glasses, I loved them! Last month, they started showing damage to the lenses that was prohibiting me from being able to see so I took them in under warranty. The woman who helped me was kind and because they were my only pair of glasses, gave me 10 days worth of contacts. I’ve never worn contacts and due to having issues taking them out that day, I opted to just go without since I was told it would take my lenses about 2 weeks to be fixed. Although I have trouble seeing/driving at night without them, my sight is not bad enough to prevent me from accomplishing simple tasks. After a couple weeks, I called to get a status update. The front desk told me they’d likely be done at the beginning of the following week and that they’d check for more accurate information and follow up with me. They did not. At the beginning of the following week, I called again about my glasses. They let me know that they’d be done by the end of the week. Once again, I don’t hear anything. Another week or so goes by and at this point it had been over 3 weeks. I call again. Now they are they are telling me that the vendor who sold my frames had a delay in shipping and that the person at the lab was out for a couple of days which is why there was an additional delay. I’m now pretty frustrated. This did not make sense because I gave them my frames and they should have only been repairing my frames. I asked why and nobody was able to give me an answer. I was told countless times someone would call me back and not follow through. I had even been told that the order was being expedited. I still do not have my glasses after over a month and nobody is able to communicate to me any concrete information or will even tell me why. They continue to blame others whether that’s “the person who put in the order”, the lab, the vendor, the front desk, etc. I am getting migraines frequently and driving fearfully as I have no choice. I am actually shocked by the way I’ve been treated and the customer service that I’ve received. I don’t know what to do at this point and just hope nobody else...
Read moreAs a concerned citizen, I feel it's important to share my experience with "Eyes over DFW" to warn others of the mistreatment I received. I visited the practice after experiencing discomfort due to a contact lens stuck in my eye. However, I was met with a dismissive and rude receptionist who showed a complete lack of empathy towards my situation.
The optometrist at this practice, whose negligent and incompetent behavior shocked me, further exacerbated my distress. It was clear that the optometrist's priorities did not include providing proper care for patients in need. Instead, the optometrist's focus seemed to be on feeding outdoor cats before work and on weekends, which I found to be both unprofessional and indicative of a lack of dedication to their patients.
In addition to this, I was appalled by the optometrist's dismissive and narcissistic attitude, which only added to my frustration and discomfort. It is unacceptable for a healthcare professional to display such behavior, especially when dealing with a patient in distress.
I urge anyone considering "Eyes over DFW" to think twice before seeking their services. My experience was one of neglect, incompetence, and mistreatment, and I believe it is important to expose the inability of this establishment to care for its patients. I hope that by sharing my experience, others can avoid the distress I endured.
3/19/2024 this review was responded to and I was told that I Imagined an incompetent, racist, geriatric providing poor healthcare instead of appropriately replying that this office is under new management or being...
Read moreHere has been my experience as a new patient to date. The exam experience was pleasant and efficient, however the post exam is an “0”out 5. After my wife and I spent after insurance $2300 on multiple pairs of glasses mine heading 10 weeks still aren’t available. To date they have made “4” totally avoidable mistakes where the lens and glasses have had to be returned to their manufacturer….. yes “4” times. I have received to date no phone calls, I have followed up every 2 -3 weeks to get updates. Think about that when they say they will call you….. they probably won’t. I have spoken to the Operations Manager who made promises to follow up and respond by phone calls, neither of those things have happened. Nowadays when you feel that business’s have turned you into a number, providing no accountability, good faith or blatant wasting of more than 7 hrs of your time it’s time to speak up. Use Eyes over DFW Oakcliff if you want “No Service” “No follow up” “Be constantly misled that your prescription glasses will be here very promptly (no clear definition of prompt) it will not happen “Repeated mistakes & no accountability” “Wasting of your personal time and money” This has been a bad experience and it continues as I still don’t have my glasses, and I doubt anything will be done to about it. If I could rate a negative “1” or “2” I would because it’s deserved. So do yourself a favor and think about who you are trusting...
