My family went to the location on Jefferson for lunch. We decided to stop there to eat based on the big sign saying they are a Torta and quesadilla place. I ordered a Pachuquena (milanesa and ham), my son ordered an Alemana (ham and hot dog), my other son got just a bistek and cheese quesadilla, and my dad got a breakfast Mananero (potatoes w/chorizo, eggs, beans) plate. Well,…🤦🏻♀️ I am aware that the bread of the torta is toasted,…but this bread was stale and dry prior to being toasted. I could tell the milanesa in my torta was old and re-fried just to warm it up because the meat had that day old beef color, was so dry, super super oily and the breading was literally coming off. Management was denying my claims and swore that they made it fresh that morning, (not even morning fried milanesa would have that appearance or color). I didn’t even eat most of the bread from the torta. But if you know what I’m talking about, then you know. My dad’s only complaint was that the potatoes were super mushy, it was like he was eating mashed potatoes with chorizo. The bread on the Alemana torta was dry too. The quesadilla hardly had any cheese in it, but it had so much meat. And I emphasized it was for a kid.
I hate doing these kinds of reviews, but only doing it because we did bring up our concerns to management while we were there and they just denied everything. We still paid our full bill.
Advice to the restaurant. If you are selling food to the public that contains the name of your restaurant, please make sure it is good quality and not so much quantity. The torta was as big a two grown man hands. I’d serve half a torta which is filling on its own, and a side of fries. THAT is something that I would maybe pay $10 for, but I seriously regret suggesting to my dad to eat at this place. Very, very disappointing. For the amount we paid for tortas/quesadilla/and breakfast egg plate, we could have easily eaten at La Calle Doce.
Way over priced for not good...

If you want the best torta I recommend the insurgentes torta that is the father of all tortas that the restaurant has. Although the other tortas are very delicious they are not the biggest one that they have they have...
