La Palapa del Sabor — Restaurant in Dallas

Has a nice tropical appeal from the outside makes you want to come in. Very clean, multiple TV screens, music and looks like a dj booth in the corner. The cuisine is mexican seafood well stocked large bar. Plenty of sitting at bar and tables. Ordered Baja tacos but got shrimp tacos (by mistake due to order read wrong, mgr made it good by half price on food). They were delicious shrimp not over cooked the sauce was tangy and very good. Also Mexican shrimp cocktail, it was served on a bowl not in tall beer mug for a steep $15 but it was packed with good sized shrimp. Also the fried shrimp basket which my guest loved. The food is amazing and for a good price in my opinion. They have live music or pretty loud music - which for me is a down but I know it adds to the atmosphere that many people enjoy (so up to you and your preference). Tried this place for the first time and food was tasty. First choice i picked off the menu was no longer being offered (well use a sharpie to mark it off). I had the green chicken enchiladas with rice and beans and I would definitely have them again. Also tried the fajita tacos, meat was soft with good flavor, however, the tortilla used for the taco tasted like it was store bought, if it would've tasted fresher I would give this place a 5.
