Galaxy Granite Dallas — Attraction in Dallas

We reached out to Galaxy granite back in April because they were on a list of referred granite shops that the factory we were looking to purchase our granite from had used in the past and were within our budget.

BIG MISTAKE!!!

From communication to poor customer service to even lazy way of correcting mistakes. TERRIBLE.

We were pushed to purchase our granite because the owner was already purchasing a few pieces for other clients and wanted to add us to the check total. We weren’t 100% ready at the point but based on her pictures and prior service record we went ahead under the understanding that we would be getting a contract sent to us with details of the process and expectations.

Never got any kind of contract for their service. Which meant any mistakes they made wouldn’t be recorded or even held accountable for.

We ended up picking two slabs but when the owner went to inspect them with us, didn’t mention that they were different thickness levels.

Throughout the process we were never told of due dates for our decisions. The owner claimed she would be walking us through every step but ended up waiting for us to text/call her to give her our decisions.

Every time my husband had questions, she responded with sarcastic responses and at one point when we were waiting on a final plan from her - she let her phone die for 7 HOURS the day before our supposed install date.

We had to push our install date 2Xs because the owner didn’t make it clear to us the need or expectations for this process.

Now due to the thickness of the two separate granite pieces our backsplash is messed up. And after install we noticed that they cut the granite pieces wrong so part of the “L” shape isn’t flushed with the wall.

The sink has two pieces connected and during install they chipped a part of it and just slapped epoxy on it. You can even see the thickness of the granite shift where the two parts meet at the sink.

While installing the kitchen sink - they let the BLANCO granite sink rest on our plumbing and claimed it was fine - we had to fix it because water wasn’t draining properly. (Again they didn’t sign anything that held them responsible)

They claimed any parts of the granite that weren’t flushed were just “how that piece was cut from the original rock” yet didn’t offer any solutions or work around.

The range area splits the two pieces and you can see the thickness difference on both sides of the range. (Pictures attached)

For those who are first time - granite looking DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Our family is happy that we chose Galaxy Granite & Stone to install our kitchen countertops.
