Bite Bistro — Restaurant in Dallas

This place shows a lot of promise. The inside is super cute, spacious, and comfortable. I could definitely see myself camping out with my laptop and a few visits to their coffee bar. However my visit was for a quick to go lunch, and I was quite let down once I got my sandwich back to the office.

I was excited to several veggie friendly options on the menu. I decided on the capri sandwich (mozz, toms, basil, pesto mayo and balsamic glaze on "artisan sourdough bread"). At 7.95 without any sides included, I was expecting something substantial. That is not what I got. There was no pesto mayo to be found. The bread couldn't have been sliced any thinner. The mozz was only on basically half of the sandwich. Where everything was fresh enough and tasted fine, the value for the money was nil. Honestly this sandwich was so flimsy I'd still question the value at $5.95. I'm now frantically searching my desk drawers for snacks 😕.

I'll probably give them one more shot for lunch since they are very new and figuring things out. I think I may give it a month...

Bite Bistro has a great easy going, comfortable vibe so it's perfect for breakfast and lunch either with friends, family or business associates. They're conveniently located off John Carpenter Freeway & Empire Central - SUPER convenient if you're staying at the nearby LaQuinta. Sheri and her team took great care of a baby shower we hosted last Saturday and served up some amazing sandwiches and salads! The ham & turkey sliders and chicken caesar wraps were scrumptious, but my favorites were the egg salad & chicken salad sandwiches - they were AMAZING! The pasta salad was served in small individual cups making it much easier to eat, along with the fruit kabobs. I've also had one of their homemade soups on an earlier visit and it was fresh and very filling. Everything is prepared fresh in the restaurant daily and you can tell the difference compared to the typical quick service restaurants. THIS PLACE IS THE BEE'S KNEES. I have been coming here for over a year now because it is right by my work. They are actually a catering group that decided to open up this boutique restaurant space and boy am I glad they did. I highly recommend the Greek salad with extra chicken in a large. It's a big enough portion to split across two days and stores well in the fridge if you save the dressing on the side. Their ice cream sandwich cookies are the best I have ever had- 2 chewy chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream rolled in Reese's is straight out of heaven. Lemon sugar cookies are also very good as well as their sprinkled cookies if you love funfetti (which who doesn't!). My family was in town from Wisconsin and I had to bring them there to experience my home away from home. Love the food and the staff.
