If you love vintage cars and great food this is the perfect spot for you! I’m a big fan of classic cars, so when I heard about this place I knew I had to visit. It’s a two-in-one experience amazing food and a chance to check out some incredible vintage vehicles. We went during the busy brunch hours so the food took a little time to arrive but that was expected. The wait was absolutely worth it because the food was delicious! The mimosas were fantastic and definitely set the mood for a great day. One of the highlights is the tour of the garage, where you can see all the classic cars they have on site. My husband and I scheduled our tour about an hour to an hour and a half after arriving, which worked out perfectly. I recommend booking the tour in advance online. There is a fee for the tour which I believe is under $20 but we were lucky to have vouchers that covered it. And if I’m not mistaken, I think you can just do the tour loan and you don’t even have to just eat there to have option for tour. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean, and well staffed. The service was a bit slow, especially with the drinks but given how busy it was, we didn’t mind. Again the quality and flavor of the food more than made up for the wait. After our meal we had a little time before the tour started so we grabbed a drink at the bar. The bar is really cool looking with a great vibe and plenty of TVs. There’s also a small shop where you can pick up souvenirs, which adds a nice touch to the experience. The tour itself was awesome you get to see a variety of unique cars and some are even for sale! Overall, this place is a must-visit. It’s such a unique spot blending great food, drinks, and an incredible vintage car experience. I can’t...
Read moreThere are not enough words to describe how phenomenal our first time experience was at Derby! We’ve only lived in Dallas a little over two years and have always passed Derby without a full idea of what the place is. For my husbands birthday I decided to make dinner reservations for us and the children. Immediately upon arrival we were greeted very warm and shown to our table. Prior to our server Bri introducing herself and getting us squared away with drinks multiple members of the staff walked by the table , spoke and engaged with our children. The food was amazing, we enjoyed every single item. The warm hospitality did not lack at any point. I snuck off to the car to retrieve my husbands cake and Bri didn’t hesitate to keep it cool for us while we finished dinner. The staff all signed a birthday card for my husband as well as continued to engage with us and make sure we were happy throughout the dinner experience . We were actually amazed at the thoughtfulness as well as the continued hospitality. We even were able to tour the cars and find out lots of fun facts and information, we were even more amazed at the memberships they offer and how beneficial it would be for my husband to join. I don’t think anyone could describe the Derby experience and I think everyone should have the experience on their own. We will be joining and we will make this a top spot for our out of town guests! Than you to the staff from the front door to...
Read moreWe had heard great things about this place. My 5 year old son has been obsessed with cars since birth. This seemed like the perfect place to take him. Unfortunately, we received bad service from basically all staff we encountered. We walked in and it took roughly 8-10 mins before someone greeted us at the hostess stand. Then after getting sat at our table, it took another 8-10 mins for someone to come take our drink order. We never got a refill of water and my dad ended up walking over and getting his own refill. We had two or three different waiters. The food was good but not sure it’s $19-$20 a plate good for burger and fries. Now i’m going to tell you why we most likely not going to return. We were told the tours were booked for the day. I didn’t see anything online about booking tours in advance. Then less than 10-15 mins later a guy told us they had allowed him to be added to a tour without booking in advance. Since we were turned down for the tour i asked if there was anyway i could take my 5 year old to the upstairs balcony so he could get a better view of the cars. We were told no since it was for members and there was a private event. Once again we witnessed a couple go up and ask the same question and were allowed to go upstairs. My 5 year old talked about this place all week. We planned our entire day around going since we live 45 mins away. Very cool concept for a place. Unfortunately, we both left Derby feeling...
