I really hesitated on leaving this review because the experience I had was in no way a reflection on the vendors in this mall. The booths themselves were pretty good. Pricing in the entire mall is on the high end of market value.
The reason for my 2 stars: I found a beautiful fan vase...the vendor wrote all the information on the tag but forgot to put the price after the "$". Understandable mistake, no biggie! So I went to the gentleman working the front desk to ask if I could get a price on it. The gentleman told me he "wouldn't sell it to me today because he was too busy to call and ask." Y'all, there was only 1 customer checking out, no line whatsoever. There was even another employee behind the counter helping him. So I just said ok thanks anyways, and finished shopping. While there were customers in the store, it was not crowded, busy, and I never saw a line at the register.
About 40 minutes later I purchased 5 items total. I didn't have to wait to pay because there wasn't a single person in line. And while checking out, the gentleman was unfriendly. Not mean or rude. But he didn't even smile or say thank you my purchase. The only time he spoke during the whole transaction was to tell me how much I owed. The other gentleman behind the counter was pleasant. But unfortunately everything else outweighed that.
I'm usually skeptical when I read a review like this and always wonder if the reviewer is embellishing his/her experience. But this actually happened. And it just really got to me because that vendor probably lost out on a $50-ish dollar sale. That was the deciding factor for leaving this review.
Vendors work really hard sourcing, pricing, and maintaining their inventory, and in the upkeep of their booths. Additionally they pay rent and the store takes a percentage on every item sold. This vendor deserved the simple courtesy of a 2 minute phone call or a text message. If I was that vendor and lost out on a sale because of something like this, I would immediately look for a new mall. I sympathize with this vendor, and all the others as well because it could have happened to any of them, and it's probably has happened...
Read moreThis place is horrible! I have never experienced profiling in my life until I got here. The guy popped up of if nowhere like a genie and told me and my partner, " WE ARE CLOSE!" Then proceeded to walk up to us motioning us to the door. Then there was another guy's voice from somewhere saying, "You can purchase something if you find it quick!" Now at this time the guy walking has literally backed us all the way to the door and turned off the lights and the open sign. Once outside the establishment he says, "I don't like it when black people come in here", and locks the door. I looked at my partner and said that's why people do dumbass things like throw a brick through their window and loot. We laughed it off but deep down inside I was hurt. As he started the car I looked one last time at the and noticed their hours of operation which read the place CLOSES are 6 PM. It was a little after 4 PM when we walked in.... I was floored hence the reason for this review. That really hurt my heart I damn near started crying. Now I'm not saying don't go there or shop there. All's I'm saying is be careful when you do and beware because...
Read moreThe two stars are for the actual lovely antiques I found amongst the not-at-all antiques. Part flea market, part garage sale and 50% antiques (in my estimation). Overpriced, but some booths are quite nicely curated. Have visited three times and rather than it being the charm, it’ll be a strike. No more chances. Manager/owners are curt (at best), dismissive and rude (at worst). A nice woman did inform me of discounts at the booth I was browsing today, all other times I was ignored or treated as a nuisance (for paying at checkout, mind you). I followed all the stated “rules” on the entrance (there are many- it’s almost comical), but this place is just unwelcoming and unpleasant. I’ll take my business and my AMEX card elsewhere (which they practically threw back at me while pointing to a “we don’t take Amex sign- how dare I miss that amongst the 50 rules of this place!). Best wishes (and maybe lighten up...
