The theater is potentially a great place but required a stronger management influence. Ticket prices are great. $9 movie tickets are great for this area. Chairs recline and video quality is great. Concessions are high- $3 for a small prebagged pickle $8 for medium popcorn $6 for a medium drink. A few things ruined our experience tonight. On Tuesday June 12th at the 8:30pm showing of Solo we walked into a TRASHED theater. You could tell the previous showing was not a full theater because only select areas were filthy. Unfortunately, my purchased seat was one of the utterly trashed areas. My seat was occupied by a spilled drink with several soggy napkins in a poor attempt to clean it up by the culprit. The floor surrounding it was covered in popcorn so walking to our seats sounded much like walking through leaves in the fall. It wasn't a full theater so we moved over a seat and ignored the trash can sitting next to us. The aroma of freshly popped popcorn I'm the theater was intoxicating. Shortly after seating I went to concessions. I opted out on the pickle (the jug of pickles is more cost efficient, taste better, and available at a better price). The young man serving me was kind but unprofessional. When interrupted by a coworker he chose to assist her (in closing duties) rather than immediately help the first that was about to miss the beginning of the show. As I was the only person in line and I am not one to complain to a person preparing anything I plan to consume, I waited my turn. The drink he poured me was filled to the rim. That is not a complaint- at $6 I want every pennys worth. However instead of properly putting the lid on my cup he smashed it on the top, crinkling the seal, leaving half of the lid dangling off the top. Ok. So, I asked the young man for a new lid. He gets a new lid and shoves it down on the cup one again causing the same issue as before. He could tell my the look on my face this did not make me happy and says "they're all going to do that. It doesn't matter how many lids you try". I paid for my things and proceeded to the condiment bar for a straw and as you probably suspect, I've left a trail of soda from the counter to the condiment bar. I left my drink on the condiment bar and asked the young man to hand me a lid and wouldn't you know- IT DOES FIT!!! worst things have happened to me and I have had worse experiences but all of these things could have been easily prevented. I hope this message reaches the needed party to make the changes because I've attended this theater for a very long time and have a lot of fond memories...
Read moreFrom the Auditoriums to the men’s restrooms are very disgusting inside the United Artist Galaxy Theatre 10 are very unkept. If you are a person whom does not enjoy walking on other males urine you will not like the way these restrooms are kept. As for the seats in the Auditoriums, you will find them full of grease because the staff do not bother to do their job and clean the seats before the next group of people come in to watch the next movie show. I brought my concern to a person on the floor by the name Luis but he said, “I don’t care about what you had to say.” I asked if he could get me a manager and he said, “I have not seen him.” I asked if he knew the name of the manager on duty that night around 7pm and he said, “I do not know his name.”
With this in mine, I will take my business elsewhere. I commented on his uncaring negative attitude and said, “How can you not know whom your manager is?” On my own I could only think of the following reasons: Not having common sense about asking who is he will be reporting to for that day while his on the floor.
Not taking an interest in knowing who is supervising the staff during that shift.
Not having any work ethics or respect for what he does.
Not standing for anything and lacking respect for himself, customers and his managers or supervisors.
The above mentioned reasons for not being able to understand why an employee of United Artist Galaxy Theatre 10 by the name Luis would not know the name of their manager can only equal to ‘Not...
Read moreI Paid for an early preview of Jumanji at Regal Cinemas UA Galaxy Theatre Stadium 10 in Dallas TX thru Amazon prime just to be harassed walking out of the bathroom by a security officer who’s company was apparently hired thru Amazon. The gentleman followed me to the bathroom then stopped me as I was walking out of the bathroom to tell me he was making sure no one was using snap chat or recording the movie illegally, and that he will be making rounds. Why would I pay for premium tickets thru amazon prime just to be harassed by security? Why couldn’t he simply make an announcement to everyone at the gate or inside the theater if this was necessary? I calmly pulled him to the side and told the gentleman I was upset by the way that he spoke to me and He proceeded to tell me that because I didn’t agree with his actions and that it upset me that my wife and I have to leave the movies. I simply asked him for his name and company I was not argumentative. actually, The theater apologized for his behavior and gave my wife and I free tickets and a full refund. However this is not ok. Because I was singled out, and harassed. The Allied security officer preceded to smile and laugh as my wife and I had to leave and not see the movie. I will be canceling all amazon accounts as well as the ticket booking service. Stay away from the early showings unless you want to have security walking around the theater and watching and or harassing while you are trying to enjoy...
