Buyer beware, they do NOT honor their return policy even when you want just a valid even exchange if you bought it on sale and the price has gone up.
My friend and I stopped by this target to go shopping for some things, and also to make an even exchange for a Fitbit Charge HR that my friend’s boyfriend had given her for Xmas. He’d bought it on sale at Target in Houston on Dec 21, 2016, and they’d returned it for a backlight leak issue. This was the SECOND Fitbit that had an issue with the backlight leaking around the clock area… light always showed through even if it wasn’t supposed to be showing the time. This watch had the problem even worse than the first and was outright defective. During the exchange, she decided to get a different color, and a bigger watch so she could see it better when exercising and checking her heart rate. However, Gracie in the return department wouldn’t honor Target’s return policy no matter WHAT, because the price difference was too much for her to allow it now since the item is no longer on sale. We told her that the boyfriend wouldn’t have bought the Fitbit at Target had he known they wouldn’t honor their return policy in case of a defective product. We asked for a manager, so someone could see she was putting Target in a precarious legal situation by not honoring the return policy stated on their receipt and website, and to give them one last chance to make things right. She said she WAS the manager and there was no way this target was going to make this exchange. She said we could have the money back, but they wouldn’t do a simple even exchange. I asked why she was doing this, and she just kept going back to the fact that there was just too huge of a price difference now. I found that irrelevant, since we just wanted an even exchange on something we’d already paid for. We just wanted an actual working Fitbit in the proper size/color. The whole time we dealt with Gracie she was giving us this look like we were trying to pull a fast one, like we were scandalous con-artists, and making us feel like criminals. She kept repeating the same line no matter what question we asked. “Ma’am, we’re not exchanging this, there’s too much of a price difference.” Obviously, the Fitbit was bought during a sale to save money, but the sale is over. So this point is irrelevant, since we just wanted an even exchange! I’ll never ever be back to this target. Apparently, this is commonplace here, if you read some of the other reviews about them at various review sites. Buyer beware!!
Also, other than exchange issues... they are pretty dinky and small on the inside, super old looking on the inside, and don't carry many things. The place is worse than most walmarts I've been to. Run from...
Read moreWent shopping this past Sunday. Wrong timing! The store looked a messed because of the clientele so I’m not upset about that. But I didn’t really get the help I needed. I tried looking for a basic black crew neck. Target carry’s multiple colors in crew necks and v necks for guys. All I found was a half way set up table filled with v necks and a few random crew necks, with half of the table empty. Decided to walk around and focus on the rest of my shopping. Came back and decided to to ask for help finally. All I saw was a girl about 5”3 tall chunky built with glasses and black hair. She was spacing or sizing a rack in the woman’s aisle. I walked up to her and pointed at the stack across the walkway. When I asked her about the black crew neck to see if they had a stack in the back she immediately said it with confidence “there’s no more”. She never tried to see what shirt I was talking about or bother to look it up. Because I’m an understanding person I said “ok sorry” and walked away. Made me discouraged to keep shopping for more things. Decided to pay and get out of the frustrating situation. Overall the experience was frustrating and I get that the customers can make it difficult for employees, but when a customer who’s genuinely is asking you for help in a polite manner, it ruins the experience to want to keep shopping. Instead I keep seeing The leaders on deck chit chatting while some employees being dismissive. If it wasn’t for the black guy at check out helping pith and being polite the experience would of been more horrible. Honorable mention, there was a chunky white boy with sand color blonde hair walking around being sweet to customers and offering his cart to customers that had items on their hand. That was the best part of the experience. S/O to him. Also this location has two entrances. I definitely advice to park by the Southwestern Blvd entrance to avoid...
Read moreI love me some Targets, but my only issue is the AT&T Reps ( 3rd Party Representatives to say). Is me or do anyone else try to avoid them ? I’m never interested in what they sale even though I have the internet they still be provoking they way into making a sale. I feel like hostage with them because sometimes depending who’s there they won’t let you go. Now I be trying my best to avoid them but today I needed me a charger and look what the cat drugged in… A rep that was in my face trying to make a sale and all I wanted was to get a charger for my phone. After standing there listening and talking to him he kinda got upset that I wasn’t interested and kept trying to make a sale from me ! Thank goodness my card declined (I was paying my purchase with cash) because I didn’t want to switch over from my carrier and I feel like they need to do better in asking ppl are they interested in hearing about a promotion today instead of sweet talking they way. I did do my research a lot of ppl said they are scammers since they are third party AT&T so they can say whatever and then next thing u know ur paying more than what u was paying before. Unfortunately, AT&T can’t really do anything about it. So I’m writing this review to save ppl from being swindled and again I’m glad I was a close call ! So beware ! Stick to what works for you don’t let them sweet talk you into a good sale, DO Ur RESEARCH! Again, DO...
