Salata — Restaurant in Dallas

I usually love Salata and even have the app, but today, when I approached the napkin area, there were a few napkins there that someone else previously pulled out of the holder and just left there. I didn’t want to use napkins that someone else already had their hands on. So I attempted to throw them in the nearby trash, but the trash was full. So I laid them on top of the trash and pulled a few fresh napkins from the holder for myself. A man (perhaps the manager), came out from the kitchen, made a “stop” gesture with his hands and said “just be careful with the napkins”. I said “I actually didn’t make this mess. I didn’t want to use soiled napkins that someone else pulled out, so I placed them there. You should clean up more.” He just walked away….I ate my salad, but the exchange bothered me. So when I saw him again, I said “Excuse me, I just want to make sure we’re on the same page. Then I re-explained what happen.” He said “yeah it’s just that some people are careless with the napkins”. I said “but I hope you understand that has nothing to do with me.”…then he just walked away. My friend was sitting at a nearby table and saw/heard the entire exchange. She said “why is he obsessed with the napkins? Why did he say something to you about it?” I’ll stick with the...

I came in thinking I would be getting a nice salad. What I got though was depressing. The employees here have bad attitudes, and are unwilling to accommodate when customers want to split their food between a plate and a to-go box. The greens were fine, but the toppings left some quality to be desired considering how much they charge. There is no menu on the wall designating the prices before you go through the line. What gets me the most though is how they charge extra for the protein options, and that they don't have a standard charge. Instead, they have varied prices that you don't find out until you're halfway through making your salad. Most salad bar restaurants have menus on the wall with price comparisons, and the fact this one doesn't...

The salads are becoming skimpier! I always get the $10 small salad with shrimp comes out to be $16 with tax. I’m not sure if management is asking the associates to be a little stingy when it comes to filling up the bowl or if the employees are in a rush just ready to get rid of you. The salads are getting skimpier I asked for an extra scoop of dressing the rep says it was extra lol but didn’t mention a $1 extra. It’s no longer making any sense to spend almost twenty dollars for a singl serving basic salad anymore with this place. I think I’ll just go spend $10 bucks at the store and fix my own and have seconds and thirds to go back for. Bragged about this place but...
