As I turned the wheel of the Car toward the park and my eyes hitched on first glance of the water, birds, and the hazy Dallas skyline, I was totally and positively floored. It was as though I stepped into an alternate universe...I was astonished by all the natural beauty, I was almost brought to tears....who would have thought that all this was here just beyond the concrete jungle of Dallas ... I was so pleased with my findings that I used this opportunity to center or align myself and meditate..... have a great deal to work through as ive lost my husband of 18 years as well as a best friend and a beloved furbaby...I felt a healthy sense of comfort and peace that day...what a great gift to have found this serene spot ....absolutely stunning In the early mornings. I urge all Dallasites or nature lovers to visit this tranquil spot at least once in the early morning hours...you'll...

Dallas' hidden gem!

I've driven over the newly constructed Sylvan bridge and admired the view of downtown from the car, but little did I know tucked away under that bridge is a parking lot that leads to a small lake, paved trails, benches, and picnic tables!

The park may not have as many amenities as you would expect from your typical modern Dallas park, but the AMAZING views and serene environment completely make up for it. The few times I've been to the park at various times of day, there has been no more than 4 or 5 people. So peaceful! The paved trails seem to go on forever as I have yet to completely cover all ground. Perfect for biking or a run. Oh, and did I mention the views from this place?! Literally the best in Dallas.

If you don't want to deal with crowds and want to be one with nature, I'd say skip the Continental avenue pedestrian bridge & Katy Trail and come...

So cool! Mw,& my dogs love to explore the various areas of the Trinity River reclamation project. Try to find new accesses. Have been to Crowell Park before, but found this new outlet to the Sylvan bridge connection today. I love all the areas in the project. As I work at a Crowe property, the Hilton Anatole, it is especially a proud feeling for me that such a prestigious family & locale is so concerned about preserving our natural beauty in Dallas, TX by participating in the beautification of Dallas. As I am a born native of Dallas & have seen all of the changes in this city in the past decades. I am so thankful for others that care. I thank God for those that are also appreciative of nature's beauty. And as the article in the Dallas Observer so aptly put. Letting the Trinity River be wild as it is supposed to be & accentuate that natural beauty. ...

Beautiful park! Love to visit the cow sculptures, watch the birds and river. View of downtown yet wonderfully secluded. It does shut down when there's been rain, because the area floods. Preventing the city from flooding is the reason the Trinity River basin has been left alone instead of built on, so keep that in mind before complaining. This deserves 5 stars but unfortunately, as with all Dallas parks, the parks dept needs to send for trash collection more often. The park often struggles with full trash and litter. The landscapers mow right over it rather than picking it up, leaving tons of little plastic pieces in the grass.
