Gellert Park — Attraction in Daly City

This park has great amenities. It has tennis courts, a soccer and baseball field and a track to run laps on although it's gravel but still a good place to run. There's also a library and a really nice playground. There's ample parking and is located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood. They also have picnic areas and restroom facilities. I come here not just for these amenities but also for playing Pokémon Go and Monster Hunter Now which are digital phone games. Parking is limited. Diesel exhaust directly into the playground happens every time we go caused by the ice cream trucks directly into front of the playground, it makes us leave immediately. Soccer games make it busy. Tennis courts and basketball courts are very busy. Bathrooms are filthy. Unhoused and unstable people frequent here, washing their laundry in the restrooms, hanging it up on the fences, yelling at people and they overturn garbage bins. I really loved what the city has been doing to renovate this park. First, the new playground. Then the EV charging stations. And then the new bathroom building. This park is great! It has a kilometer long dirt loop. Perfect for runners who wanna do an interval workout on dirt, rather than the pavement.
