It's a good to great way to experience hot pot style of cooking! If you haven't been here before, and are with a large party, it can be overwhelming. They offer all-you-can-eat hot pot or BBQ for $32.99 or both for an additional $5.00 more.
TIP: If it's your 1st time here, I'd say try one of the two first, and then on the next visit either choose the other or both. In my opinion, having to cook both hot pot and BBQ is a more of a challenge, than enjoyment.
The place has an awesome sauce bar that has pre-made sauces, or make your own. I love mixing garlic, jalapeño, green onion, cilantro, soy sauce, pepper, sesame oil, vinegar, chili oil, and water to make dipping sauce for my cooked meat. I also get raw eggs 🥚, so I can drop them in the boiling hot pot.
My broth preference is Thai pot, which does have a kick to it.
For proteins: I like Rib eye, brisket. and Angus prime (dinner menu).
I like ramen noodles & egg noodles 🍜 to put in the hot pot.
They have a conveyor belt alongside your dining table that allows you to choose additional items to put into your hot pot. Items like ramen noodles, knife cut noodles 🍜, 🍄, 🥦, baby corn, greens, fish balls, lobster balls, quail eggs, etc. That in itself is a cool experience.
TIP: Make sure your table has the conveyor belt, otherwise wait for a table that is located alongside one. It's self-service, which is more convenient than trying to flag down your waiter to get a simple side dish.
Once everyone settles in, and understands how the system works, then the fun begins. You'll find yourself eating more than you should, but it's because it's really good!
I want to commend the manager/host on duty 11/5/23 @1130am for dealing with our party. I may have made it difficult for them because of a reservation mishap, but he definitely did help resolve our issue. We appreciate them for allowing our party to sit next to each after some discussion.
9 of our 12 person-party have been here for the first time, and they really enjoyed it. I suggested it, and everyone left happy and full! 😋
Thank you SeaPot!
Misc notes: Yelp doesn't allow you to book a party of more than 10, so you'd either have to book multiple tables under different emails or give them a call. Lunch is a great price ~$22.95 when compared to dinner...
Read moreMy absolute favorite hotpot and kbbq restaurant in the bay! The parking lot is always full, but there's usually a spot or two so it's not too bad. I hosted my baby's 100 day party there this past weekend and the manager, Ravi, was super responsive and helpful with the process. I booked a private room, which was very spacious and feeds 28 people (pot per person) and 8 tables outside. A deposit was collected to secure the room. The room already had a backdrop prepared and enough space for more than 40 people to chill at. The air conditioner wasn't very effective though so the room got pretty hot with all the people and pots running. Some of the waiters were slow for a couple of our tables outside. Edmund covered the private room and a couple of the tables outside the room and he was on top of it. I have eaten at Seapot several times and the service is always friendly. The food quality is great, the sauce bar has plenty of choices along with side dishes and the conveyor belt makes it super convenient to eat while waiting for the meats to arrive. The wait time is shorter when you come during off hours, so unless you have a party of 6+, which is the minimum for a reservation, I suggest you come an hour earlier to have a somewhat shorter wait time. Sometimes you can put your name down on Yelp, but there's a small window for it and it could still be a 123+minute wait. I have been here at 11:30am, 3pm and 5pm before with a waittime of 5-10minutes and I have also been here around noon and 6-7pm and waited over two hours for a seat. Either way, the food is worth and you'll get a text before your table is ready so you can walk around the area. I had enough time to walk to Dave and Busters one time because I didn't want to lose my parking spot. Definitely...
Read more*12/31/2023 Had a great time at Seapot Hot Pot & KBBQ in Daly City! We went for the All-You-Can-Eat hot pot, and it was amazing.
Quick tip: They do take online reservations on Yelp. We thought it was walk-in only, but we got seated in just 5 minutes after signing up online, even though it said a 45-minute wait.
You can order 4 dishes at a time, and my partner and I went for 5 meat dishes. I got the Pork Stomach & Pepper Soup, super nutritious and tasty with tender pork. My partner chose the Spicy House Soup with a Sichuan-style kick, and you can adjust the spice level.
The food was fresh and delicious, and the sauce bar was a winner. Loved the seafood and veggie options from the Conveyor Belt - fish, shrimp, clams, veggies - they had it all.
Staff checked in a lot, making sure we were good and offering more rounds of food. Overall, Seapot is a top-notch hot pot spot with a cozy vibe.
