Lantern Bay Park — Attraction in Dana Point

Great spot for a picture perfect picnic above the harbor and one of the best places to learn to surf beaches in the world. Lantern Park sits right above Doheny State Beach and Dana Point Harbor with the best view of both locations. There is more than enough room for football games or get a little crazy with freesbie games.... They do have sand bocce ball courts and check out the "I heart yoga" website for scheduled outdoor yoga classes in the park grass. Tons of picnic tables, grills and public bathrooms open during the day....the free parking is decent below the hilltop, but it does fill up fast so get there early to reserve a spot. Have...

One of my top 3 spots in Dana point. Def one of my go tos when I need to Revv down and soak in Gods beautiful creation. Helps me to appreciate the simplicity of life and all I have to be thankful for. The views are breath taking and the cool breeze does wonders for my soul.

Sometimes I will walk here in the morning as the sun breaks and it just takes my breath away (cue the Berlin song!).

Nice open park, well maintained with a lot of trees and open areas. There are picknick areas under the trees with bbq set ups and benches and chairs. You got the hotel rising up behind the park and the Dana Point Harbor and beautiful Pacific Ocean on the other. Saw a lot of professional photographers taking pictures of families and couples. Saw a yoga group doing early morning meditation. And even have seen what appears to be groups taking pictures of models modeling clothing with vans they were changing outfits in.
