A great natural haven overlooking Dana Point Harbor and the Pacific Ocean. There is a paved walking trail that winds through the park area and the option is available to climb stairs or not. Beautiful views! Relatively clean, although there were some places where vandals had clearly left their mark. Limited parking, but had no problem getting close and there were a few handicapped spaces. Most visitors seemed to come from the surrounding neighborhood. Had the pleasure of meetung some of the locals during my exploration who were very friendly and happy to share stories about living in Orange County and their lives. Parking is limited where El Camino Capistrano and Old Gold Latern meet. There are maybe 6 spots. However, on El Camino Capistrano, there is public parking. You can park on one side of the street on Tuesday, and the other is closed off on Wednesday. Weird.

This is a great spot to watch the sunrise and sunset, have a picnic, take a walk, or just lay out in the sun. There are no bathrooms, so plan accordingly. There are a few public parking spots avaliable at the top of the park and also residential street parking.
