Love the place .. The people and most of the choices. I do wish there was more than one item. I dont like taking the one that was out and put in its box. I like my things never opened. Other than that it's great!! I have to add on here and obviously by the amount of statue I own and I have many more in storage. I wouldnt fo where I am robbed I'm crippled and it's hard to get around for me, I am always greeted the very best and seems as if I dont see the same people all the time so they dont favorite ne because I spend a whole lot of money here, I send my husband .. for instance 3 weeks ago for the female wolverine I posted. I also go in a kind of smaller store with a wheelchair and they dont act like I'll break their things. So I'm greeted great. I'm sorry there is a port here someone wasnt but plz give them another chance because maybe it was just an odd thing. The ppl fo UO and down ladders and in and out of cases for me. I love the people here. Also I do have to say is that the prices are not at all bad. If u go online while your in the store they are the same or a few dollars either way a bit different and what makes this so substantial is the fact that the Mall cost a fortune to rent a store here. I think the people at Toy Vault are doing their very best to be as fair as possible they are not a high Amazon uet keep up w the prices and I always feel welcome. Ty I hope everyone can see something added because I cant tine anywhere to write a new message.. ty Toy Vault.. I'm never going to loose my childlike innocence it's all I...
Read morePurchased an artfx Poison Ivy on December 23. Asked manager if it was on sale. Dude said "no, but check our Facebook because we have a few sales tomorrow." Checked FB this morning and surprise surprise, artfx 20% off. I was told today, December 24, in store at Dartmouth that sales are final and it is company policy to not disclose sales until they happen. BS, dude that I talked to last night 100% knew artfx would be on sale today but just to get sale was cagey with me. What type of store wouldn't want a customer to save a few bucks and in return, buy more stuff. Had the manager been honest with me I would have returned for the sale and bought 1/2 dozen more artfx, but now they lost a customer who will NEVER purchase from toy vault again. Nor will any of my friends.
To owners response.... Your condescending is putting off. Bottom line is you didn't care about the customer. You want to think that you did me a favor by giving me shallow, indirect information about your upcoming sale, and thats fine, but your excuse of following company policy is nonsense. What if I was a 13 year old kid instead of an adult? Does his or her hard earned money not matter either? Let me help you... "We are sorry to hear about your experience yesterday and today. We will be looking into our store policies and how we execute sales in the future in order to be as transparent as possible. We assure you that our customers mean everything to us and we will work to rectify this problem as soon...
Read moreSo, I'm a retro video game collector. I went to check out what they had in stock and the stock was decent. The prices were about average. I was looking at some game boy advance games and asked the staff member if they could open a cartridge so I could make sure it's authentic and she said she doesn't do that nor has she seen the other staff do it. The other associate said they go to a warehouse to get tested and they all work. Well that's fine but so does a burnt cd and I'm not buying a game unless I know it's not just a cheapo reproduction that's only worth 99c on aliexpress while I'm paying 15$ plus on a cartridge. The toys and disc based games are fine but I would NOT reccomend buying cartridge based games here. If they won't open them for customers than I doubt they are opening the trade ins and you don't want to get burnt. That being said I don't think it's being done maliciously, I just don't think they aren't educated in the product they are selling.
Add: In response, giving your word isn't enough, if you aren't willing to prove it is authentic to me in store then I can't trust that it is. It's common practice for retro game stores to open up carts for customers and if there is nothing to hide than it shouldn't be a problem. I can 100% tell you that most retro collectors will agree with...
