Sorry it's taken me so long to get this review back to you! I entered your Davenport store sometime this spring. I had a idea in mind of what I wanted , but I knew I'd need some help deciding how to explain myself. My daughter loves Alex and Ani braclets....and has alot of them. I wanted one that day...and it had to be very, very special. You see, her son, Jeg, who just turned 5 yrs old, was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disease called Neimann Pick type C. It is a horrible disease that usually strikes children around age 4 or so. He was diagnosed last December after 2 years of testing. It is a storage disease that is fatal...no crue. Life expectancy is age 14 or so...they also call it Childrens Alzheimer's disease, bacause it is so much the same towards the end. So, I wanted a bracelet that she could wear that would give my daughter strength thru this journey with her son, my grandson. A beautiful young girl waited on me, named Avalon. I explained everything to her, and how I wanted this bracelet to be special, so my daughter would wear it always. Well, your little Avalon not only helped me pick out the most beautiful bracelet especially made with heart charms added to the Alex and Ani bracelet, i ended up getting two bracelets especially designed with Jegs name and birthstone a on the charm and another charm for his big sister Claire, who is 7. Avalon talked to me about this disease, was so compassionate towards me, and even got tears in her eyes and hugged me...a couple times!! I also had a paper with me and she noticed that it said we were having a benefit for him on July 21st....so she asked me if your store could donate something to the benefit....of course ,THAT made me cry again! The moral of this story is my daughter LOVED both of her bracelets, and your girl Avalon made myself and my daughter very, very happy that day....she not only help me get exactly what I wanted, but she treated me better than I think I've ever been treated as a customer ever before. Such a kind, sweet young lady , who made my day, by not only being so very kind, but truly having compassion for me and my family. I had also bought a bracelet for my granddaughter for her dance recital, her 1st Alex and Ani bracelet....and Avalon gift wrapped them for me too!! This experience at your store is one I'll never forget, not I ever forget Avalon and how wonderful she was that day....next I'm going to order a bracelet for myself ...a special one just like I got for my daughter....and it will be from your store....always!! That day meant so much to me, and I will never forget your Avalons kindness and compassion!    Read moreI brought my gold ring to Neckers Jewelers for a repair, as I was told they were the best in the area. The ring, which originally had two initials ('R' and 'G'), was missing the 'R'. I provided a photo and requested that the replacement 'R' match the original style exactly. I was told they would send it to their repair person and if they could do it Iâd receive a call and if they couldnât they would simply send it back. I was later called and was told that they were able to do it, so I told them yes. I was informed that the repair would involve a custom-made initial and take approximately three weeks.
To my surprise, the ring was ready in less than two weeks. However, the replacement was far from what I had expected. The new initial was noticeably thinner and a different style from the original. When I pointed this out during pickup, the staff member simply ignored me and asked for my payment method without addressing my concern. I was charged $310 for the repair.
I spoke with the initial consultant about my dissatisfaction, and she explained that because the ring wasn't originally purchased at Neckers, they didn't have the matching letter style, which she could of told when I first took it in so I could of gone somewhere else. She added that âat least itâs better than having nothing.â While I understand that the ring wasn't from their store, I'm frustrated that I wasn't informed about the difference in style beforehand, especially since I was initially told the initial would be custom-made. If they knew they couldn't match the original, a simple call or email letting me know that they couldnât custom make it would have been appreciated, so I could have declined. I feel misled and overcharged for a repair that did not meet the agreed-upon specifications. The claim of a custom job felt like a misrepresentation, as the final result was clearly not a match to the original design.

The first time we met Pam we fell in love with her smile, her knowledge & she NEVER once pushed us to purchase. Made us feel VERY welcome to come back any time. Pam helped upgrade my "diamond"wedding band, helped locate the perfect set of earrings I've been wanting. And so much more! (the quality is so important to us) Pam waited till the right time to call us to inform us she had what we/I wanted. I don't settle for something less just because you have it. I want the best. (like many women) And Pam makes sure we get it. I can not THANK YOU enough for bringing Pam into our lives. And we hope she continues to WORK WITH AN AMAZING JEWELRY STORE LIKE NECKER'S!
