Decatur Civic Center — Attraction in Decatur

Extremely rude staff when we were trying to ice skate. Acted like we were annoying to bother them to ask for admission to skate. When we asked “do the skates usually run big or true to size?” They snapped “just give me your shoe size.” They also had staff come out onto the ice and follow us around, looking at us and whispering about us, and finally come up to us and say we are skating wrong and damaging the skates and need to stop, so we left...

Prices are fair, place is relatively clean, many lockers, skate rentals, beginner walkers. However, a lot of the customers were quite rude. Standing in choke points observing while people trying to walk through. Quite a lot of dirty looks for some reason. The atmosphere didn’t seem family friendly. The staff was professional & courteous. It was a ok place but the reason I went there was to take my child to see a small indoor carnival. I do not recommend anyone to go because everything is extremely expensive. Examples: face painted $14, pony or camel ride in circles $14, bagged popcorn $10, cotton candy $12, light up kids bubble toy $20. I'm not a rich person & if I had known all these prices then I...
