Anna Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Decatur

I will have to say that i found Anna Thai as a complete fluke and had no idea what to expect. just parked my car outside, tons of free parking everywhere and walked into a delight. I use Pad Cee Euu (or however you spell it) as a standard to see how any restaurant does and this place blew it out of the park...probably the best Pad Cee Euu since i left California at our regular Thai in Palm Desert. The waitress was attentive the food soon arrived. flavorful and a joy in each mouthful. You know, it wasn't spcied to the eyeballs so that you wouldn't know what you were eating but rather thoughtfully cooked. You really need to give this place a go not because i said so but because you will not be disappointed to get fed a really delicious meal. dont take my word for it...try it yourself and see.... in short, totally awesome, what a great find. We love this place! My boyfriend and I recently moved to the area, and we're vegan so we were concerned about not finding any options nearby when we don't want to cook. The staff here is so accommodating, and they're willing to help alter the dishes so we can still enjoy it. Pad thai is my absolute favorite, but a lot of places can't make vegan pad thai (or are very wary of it) so I was sad to lose our usual place. But I'm so glad there's a new place we can go to here!

This is the best Thai place in the area, no contest. The food is all very delicious, weather it’s curry, pad Thai, stir fry, or fried rice. You don’t have to get everything spicy hot either if you don’t like spicy stuff. There are plenty of mild options as well. There is also good beer & drink selections if you like that with your Thai, otherwise, the orange water is awesome. I highly recommended the lava chicken if you like bold, robust flavor with a good spicy kick. This restaurant could easily compete with some of the higher rated places in the larger urban areas like Chicago & St. Louis, and it’s right downtown here in Decatur.
