City of Delray Beach Orchard View Park — Attraction in Delray Beach

This is a small park that isn’t usually busy. The park has walking paths, a nice playground for kids, picnic tables under shelters and a well maintained bathroom facility. There seem to be people there most days to eat lunch at one of the covered picnic tables. The parking lot is large enough for this park.

The children's playground is very nice. It’s large enough for a good size group of kids to all be there.

The main paths around the park are about a quarter mile long but a couple of side paths allow for even shorter walks. The paths are paved and in good condition for walking even with a walker. If you want a longer walk or run, leave the park and go along Germantown Road for another mile keeping in the shade most of the way. Germantown Road is one of the few roads in the area with great shade trees that cover the sidewalk. After a mile it changes and there aren't any more shade trees. The Germantown sidewalk is in need of repairs with tree roots pushing up in places so pay attractions. Orchard View Park is good if you want a short walk or an easy couple of mile run mostly in the shade.

Cute playground for kids. Great for toddlers too. Has a little path so they can also scout it enjoy a bike ride and has bathrooms across the parking lot. Both times we’ve gone we’ve seen some kids there but not too crowded. There is a water fountain but the part to easily fill water bottles upright with the sensor is broken, so you have to tilt the water bottle and use the one that comes out at an angle. There is a sign that says no dogs allowed. Several little gazebos with a singular picnic table under each one. Unfortunately, it seems someone has moved the handicap accessible one so that it blocks the sidewalk leading up to it, so wheelchair users would not be able to get under the gazebo that has the wheelchair friendly...

We spent time at the park while waiting for an appointment. It is a convenient location among an apartment complex and an elementary school. The bathrooms were clean. We took advantage of the 1/4 mile walking path and watched younger children and families using the playground equipment.
