Bear Creek Park

Bear Creek Park aka the hat park to the locals is a wonderful place to take a nature walk, enjoy the Platte River as it Cascades through rocks under 3 really neat bridges or ride your scooter or bike. My daughter and I enjoyed walking through the tall grass on man made mini trails. The landscape was plush and super green. The park was clean of debris with exception of a few strange items such as a sterile strip package under the bridge but, overall we enjoyed the scenery. Tons of scooters and the usual bikers taking an evening ride, inhaling the evening's fresh air, with of course a hint of the Platte River. Traffic from 285 was at a minimum therefore, we were able to hear birds in the background with an occasional tune from a few families having a picnic. Overall I would highly recommend the park to anyone looking to break up the monotony of the usual around the block neighborhood walk.
