Tonight I decided last minute that I wanted some subway for dinner and stopped at this location. This was my very first time being at this location and it may be considered my last being tonightās events with an employee here. When I walked in tonight everything seemed to be smooth sailing. There was a gentleman up front who was working and I believe helping another customer make his sandwich and there was another female (caught her name, it was Blanca) who was behind him doing other work in the meantime. As Iām waiting and the gentleman working is helping the other customer ahead of me, Blanca came and took my order. When taking my order at first she was doing a great job. Greeted me and asked what I would like for my order, and was making my sandwich at a decently timed pace. (PLEASE NOTE THAT) After getting my meat and cheese onto my sandwich she asked if I would like it toasted and I said yes. She put it in the oven for it to be toasted and took out the sandwiches that were in there previously that belonged to the gentleman ahead of me. She begins to finish making the sandwiches of the gentleman ahead of me, and as sheās doing so hears the timer go off for my sandwich and begins to take it out. At this point the gentleman working with her did ask if I needed help but I told him no because she already started my sandwich, then she takes mine out of the toaster and tries to start making mine. When she does she FASTLY throws the vegetables I wanted onto my sandwich then continues on with the other manās sandwiches. At this point, I could have asked her to slow down but DID NOT with the confidence of assuming she would stop rushing and just make my sandwich nicely as well as correctly. She finishes my sandwich and fastly wraps it then places my sandwich by the register. I go up to the register assuming sheās wanting me to pay and get me out of the store which I assumed incorrectly. It put me in a very awkward situation with the customer ahead of me, then she very rudely tells me to wait and finishes taking care of the gentleman who was already ahead of me. She finishes the transaction with that customer, and at this rate Iām highly disappointed and upset because she JUST rudely asked me to wait on her while she ALSO rushing through making my sandwich making me feel uncomfortable and sort of like an undervalued customer. I looked at her and said āno, I would like my sandwich remade you just had me wait in a very awkward position to pay for my sandwich and not only that prior to this you were rushing through making my sandwich. I saw how you were making it. Iām a paying customer and I deserve to have my sandwich remade.ā She then looks at her other coworkers for help who were behind her doing other work and I looked at her and said to her again that I would like the sandwich remade due to her rushing and the lack of care for my sandwich.. for her to THEN TURN AROUND AND SAY āno es speak English sorryā. THE AUDACITY. She spoke perfect English with me to take my order prior to this and EVEN was speaking English to the gentleman ahead of me but when put on the spot for poor behavior and for also making my sandwich wrongly you donāt know how to speak English all of a sudden? The unprofessionalism in that comment WAS NOT tolerated and I looked at her and said to her āok I donāt care for your attitude this is highly not ok and I would still like my sandwich remade thatās allā and stood there firmly waiting for one of the employees to solve the situation I now had going with them. Then, I looked at the gentleman working with them and asked if there was a manager on duty and he replied no. REALLY?!?! So no manager on duty either?? My sandwich was remade by another coworker, I couldnāt catch her name after hearing the fiasco I had with Blanca and I paid and left the store. This was the worst experience Iāve had at a subway yet. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI placed an order for $30 worth of food. I was dead tired so I didn't check my bag before leaving. The $12 salad I bought was half full, and not at all made the way I specified. There was no cheese or black olives, although I'd said I wanted extra, and it was mostly spinach even though I said I didn't want any. The sub I paid $17.50 for was missing the smashed avocado and had very little of the other veggies/meat/cheese. It was also not toasted. Additionally, the pretzel I'd ordered was not included.
I assume that this must have happened because I didn't leave a tip. The reason I chose not to leave a tip was because tips are supposed to be given when someone goes above and beyond their normal duties, or provides exemplary service. Tips are not supposed to be begged for by an app, prior to receiving my food.
I can't afford this! I can't even afford to buy Subway anymore, since you've decided that your ingredients are made from gold, but I literally had no choice. I was in town due to my father passing away, and nothing else was open. I have had a very emotional couple of days, I was too tired to prepare anything in my cheap hotel room, but still needed to eat. Then I get ripped off by having to spend more than anyone should be forced to pay for anything other than a sit down restaurant (which I would gladly have tipped for), by not getting what I ordered, and in such a small quantity that it didn't even fill either of us up!

What kind of business are you running that you encourage your employees to do that to your customers who are already paying so much money to have the honor of eating your food?

While trying to get through this experience, I sat trying to put an order in on the app & observed a father with his daughters trying to get his order & at first I thought he was being rude talking loud & repeating his order. Well, the app wasnāt working so when we started ordering I realized that father wasnāt being rude he was struggling with the girl taking his order. I donāt know if she was kinda deaf or just not understanding bcz we also had to talk loud & repeat items. My bf had to keep telling her the bread he wanted & I think bcz of that she was slamming & throwing the bread around. Maybe she didnāt understand her job or didnāt get proper training (which nowadays seems to be the case) & part of it was she wasnāt understanding ppl bcz of language barrier.
