Cosmo Nail and Beauty Supply — Attraction in Denver

It sucks that this is the only nail store near me to take my boyfriend’s daughter to get her nail supplies. I went in today so she can stock up on her stuff, as soon as we walked in all eyes were on us. Perhaps I looked suspicious because I had a hat on and had a mini backpack but we grabbed a cart to show that we are here to shop. 10 minutes into shopping around someone asked us if we needed help looking for anything. 5 minutes after a little boy pops up (must have been the son of the owner) and asks again if we need help with anything, we said no. 5 minutes later he pops up again and asks if we needed help after we just said no. We took about an hour to shop because my boyfriend’s daughter wanted to take her time to make sure she got what she needed. As we are going to check out my boyfriend’s daughter is unloading her cart putting everything on the register. As I’m helping her unload the little boy creeps up behind me and starts fully feeling my backpack!!! I turn around and look at him and he stutters, “sorry I uhh uhh uhh…” and walks away. I understand as a small business owner myself that we have to look out and make sure no one is stealing. But as soon as I walked in i showed respect and didn’t even touch my backpack at all. Both my hands were on my straps the whole time. It’s unacceptable for someone to touch my personal belongings. I spent $160 on this trip but I’ve spent more money there before. If you guys are so scared of people stealing then hire a security!! Don’t have a little boy around the store touching...

Sadly giving this new ownership of the supply store 0 stars actually if I could! David is extremely rude. It’s interesting how the Vietnamese community who do not speak English would receive help before I could because I’m Vietnamese American and speak English. I left the store for two minutes and had to return to exchange a regular nail polish as I got the wrong one. I go back immediately to find the correct one to exchange with the wrong one. I get harassed by the older Vietnamese man who adamantly told me to let David know first of the exchange before I look for the correct one. Vietnamese nail suppliers hire older Vietnamese men as security to ensure theft isn’t happening. I talk to David and ask if he knows where the specific nail polish I need is located and he said he doesn’t know and probably do not have it if I can’t find it. He hands me a book and said to look up the number to see if I can locate it myself. I found it immediately after taking the book and asked if I can exchange it. He said usually no because all sales are final. I was appalled and said I seriously just left! He said he knows and he will allow it this one time. Not only was he not willing to help but I was automatically accused of stealing. I miss the old owners, Johnny & his family. I am a small self employed business so be aware if you aren’t buying in bulk, you’re going to irritate David. This isn’t the first go round of David’s horrible customer service....

HE SOLD ME DEFECTIVE PRODUCT AND REFUSED TO RETURN IT! I bought a foot scrub and left the store. When I got to the salon I opened it and the product was not pomegranate raspberry and it changed color. I called the store and immediately returned to the store 15 minutes later. The owner had the audacity to tell me I didn't buy the scrub there as I stood there with my receipt in hand. I explained the contents were faulty. He refused to investigate it, smell it or try to see what might have happened. Instead he insisted I tampered with his product and refused to return it. I CALLED THE PRODUCT COMPANY DIRECTLY and guess what? They confirmed the product was bottled incorrectly and that it changes color in sunlight!!!! I call Cosmo to explain my findings and told him he should apologize for accusing me of lying and tampering with his product. He hung up on me and refused to give me his email so I could forward the email from the company confirming the product was faulty. He is EXTREMELY UNETHICAL. My school, my students, my salons and my fellow nail techs have all decided to ban this store. He acted in a disgusting way and even though I prefer to shop local I will no longer go there. I am owed an apology. He has lost so much business over a $20 tub of foot scrub....
