Hot Tips Nails and Spa — Attraction in Denver

This place is close and convenient for where I live. I come here often with friends, my husband, my kids, etc. The chairs are comfortable and the techs are generally nice especially when I bring my daughters. Unfortunately this last time was not a good experience. We got the deluxe pedicures which are supposed to come with several upgrades like hand massage and hot stone massage but we didn’t get it. Then when we went to pay I turned in a card with 10 stamps that I’ve been accumulating and on it it says “After your 10th pedicure, the next one is on us!” They refused to give us one free and instead gave us $15 off and took one of my stamp cards that had 5 stamps on it and threw it out saying it was old and from an old owner. I tried talking to them explaining that the card very clearly reads it should be free and asked them to honor the 5 stamps I had. One lady tried saying it’s only free if you get a manicure and shellac. This is very disappointing and I feel like I just had $50 taken from me. If the card said something different I would completely understand but I feel like they pulled the rug. And why throw out my earned stamps?! If their policy has changed it would’ve been nice to honor the old or offer something comparable and let me know going forward it will be different. I've been getting my nails done for years, and I hate giving negative reviews. That being said, this nail salon was a bad experience. I got a rebase done with gel polish. This is the worse quality nail job I've had done. I asked if i needed to have them fully redone, and the tech said no. I should have trusted my instincts and told him I needed a full redo. When we were done, the ring finger was crooked, the pointer finger broke the same day and the tech cut me twice with the nail file. I went back 4 days later(the earliest my schedule would allow) to get both fixed, which they did. But when he went to fix the pointer finger, he just filed down the broken acrylic shell and put new gel polish on top, he didn't fix the acrylic shell. A week after that, I need my nails redone because they are falling apart. One of the nails the gel polish has completely come off and two more nails worth of gel polish are in the process of splitting from the acrylic shell. I can usually keep one full set complete for about 3-4 weeks, this one is falling apart in a week and a half. I was the only customer in the shop both times, Sunday afternoon and Friday evening, both normally busy times at my normal salon. That should have been a clue to me that there was a...

Update in addition to previous review… I noticed their lack of sterile equipment and lack of sanitized packaged materials and so I definitely make sure to call into the health department to make sure that they are under inspection or under investigation and apparently someone else has done the same thing because they have had four reports in the last six months of the same thing for this business and given that they are using such out of date materials, and this is the quality of job that they do a nails in 2025 I think this place will be shut down in no time so ladies I cannot stress this enough save your money. No one in there knows how to do nails there is 5 million different places you can go to that can give you such better results nails are too expensive and life is too expensive these days to waste your money while people play with you like this, especially while cutting up your cuticles and exposing you to their dirty unsanitized equipment.
