Came here because I’m vegetarian and saw that they accommodated. When we walked in the waitress that seated us was very friendly. But the waitress that we had was rude and not friendly at all. We could tell that she didn’t want to wait on us. She had an attitude to begin with because we were seated in a 4 top booth, even though all of the 4 top booths were empty, and she went to talk to the waitress that seated us there because she sat us in a booth that seats 4. We ordered the sampler appetizer and when it was served the vegetarian egg rolls had chicken and beef laying on top. I said something to the food runner about the issue and her response was “did you tell your waitress you are vegetarian?” Instead of just fixing the problem. The waitress never came back to check on if we liked our food, she never offered to get us more beer or sake. We were going to order more drinks and entrees but the waitress literally never came back. The restaurant was dead and the waitress was by the register and sitting by the bar talking to the other servers. We decided that the bad service was not worth staying for. We waited and waited for the server to come back and finally asked another server for our tab since our waitress was busy sitting at the bar chatting. Our waitress finally came over to our table with the machine to run our card but after standing there for a minute then turned around and walked back to the register without saying a word and without letting us pay our tab. Waitress never gave us her name nor was it on the receipt. We won’t be back after being treated poorly and only wondering how much business this waitress has cost the owner. Could have been a great experience but the waitress made us feel very unwelcome.

Sad to say, pretty disappointed with this restaurant. The prices are pretty steep ($18/dish for the entrees you see pictured) for the quality and quantity you receive. The “spice levels” are very misleading. Even for someone like me, who has a low tolerance for spice, the “American spicy 4” was without any discernible spice. Why would you scare your customers by have a scale 1-7ish of “American spice” and then say something like “20 thai spice, 40 thai spice”? That turns people away from otherwise enjoying your great flavors. The service was fine, just broken up since they had lots of customers. The tofu was too thickly breaded to be 5 stars, and the dipping sauce barely had any peanuts which is a major L in our opinions. What an easy way you could’ve spruced up the appetizer, and you dropped the ball :/ We won’t return because we were unimpressed with the flavors and quantity:price ratios.

Pandemic update: WOW. If I could give Thai Pot Cafe 10 stars I would. These folks are amazing. They have totally adapted with curbside service, free delivery and were so respectful of our desire to continue distancing. They took my credit card over the phone, Shane delivered to my doorstep and waved hello with a smile—I could tell even though he had a mask on over both his mouth and nose :). Could not be more thankful. Tonight really almost felt like normal. ——————— Yum! Thai Pot Cafe is truly SO delicious. It’s amazing, authentic Thai cuisine with fresh, flavorful ingredients (no canned green beans, carrots or mushrooms here!). Service—dine in or takeout—is fantastic, timely and professional, from phone orders to pick up and table service too. I felt honored to get a Sharpie drawing of a palm tree on my takeout container today—it’s the details that make this place great.

I think this is the only restaurant I've reviewed in Denver. The food is very good which is why I keep giving them a chance, in addition to it being up the street from my office. Today was the last time. First it is premium pricing. I usually get a papaya salad and a soup for lunch, and a thai iced tea. I typically pay over $40 plus tip for just me (one person) to have lunch, sometimes it ends up being more, which is pretty high for a quick lunch in Glendale. They use quality ingredients and the food is very good. The price is a bit high. They do have lunch specials, that save you a dollar or two on the menu price, but the cost difference isn't that important to me and I come there specifically for the papaya salad and soup. The problem lies in the treatment of the customer and the management of the business. They have odd hours during which they are randomly closed in the middle of a weekday, and on more than one occasion I've driven down there and parked, walked up to the door, and was either too early or too late for lunch and they are closed with a sign taped on the door containing some random days/times they are closed - I'm guessing because they cant justify the operational cost during non-peak hours. Other times I have been there, they send a really clear message that they are trying to turn over as many tables as possible during their limited hours. One time I met my sister there for lunch and we were eating and were catching up, because we hadn't talked in a while, there's no way it had been more than an hour, and the waitress came up to us and asked if we were done eating, and then asked us to leave so they can seat other customers --- there was nobody waiting and open table around us. Never had that experience anywhere before in my life. Left a very bad taste in my mouth. I took a hiatus, but decided to come back and give them another try thinking it was an anomaly, and the waitstaff has been very good and pleasant otherwise. The last couple times I came in, they were hesitant to seat me at a table alone. Today, I came in (mind you I saw other people seated at tables alone - one lady was reading a book while leisurely eating her meal), and I told them I was eating by myself -- there were at least a half dozen or more open tables with menus and silverware ready to go on them, and they told me they don't have any table available at the moment and there would be a wait, or I could sit at the bar. I don't get the difference - it's the same staff and there were plenty of other tables to seat groups of people. Then another man comes over and asks me if I want to sit at the bar, and I said I would prefer a table (I don't want to sit on a barstool at a bar, I want to sit at a table and enjoy my lunch peacefully before going back to the office). I was told they only had space at the bar and they didn't have any tables, so I walked out and went across the parking lot to grab a sandwich to go from Jersey Mikes - they have the absolutely nicest, friendliest most welcoming people working there, and the sandwiches are not bad, but I like to deal with friendly people who value you as a person and customer. So, long story short is I have given this place too many chances, and purely out of self respect, I won't be going back...

This place slaps!

We recently moved across town and were looking for a new thai place. Since I can't have gluten and have some dietary restrictions, I thought the reviews looked good here.

When you first walk up it looks underwhelming, but once inside the decor is really unique and beautiful! Our only complaint is that when the restaraunt is full it is quite loud, but honestly the food more than makes up for that.

The plum sake is amazing (and perhaps dangerously good). The cucumber salad is so fresh and perfectly seasoned. The rice noodle soup is super delicious and pure comfort food. (And a small serving of soup or salad is still quite large, making the large an excellent deal!) I'll be ordering the noodles soup anytime I'm sick from now on!

We were already stuffed with soup and salad, but I had to try the green curry. It did not disappoint and had a perfect flavor profile and a nice variety of veggies that were cut to the perfect size for a curry. They use actual thai basil, which is not only beautiful, it gives a much better flavor than regular basil.

Their spice levels are also legit, so be careful with what you order! My BF loves heat and found a 25 to be more than enough for his tastes!

My BF tried the banana desert (not gluten free) and said it was incredible.

Definitely a 10/10 and we will be getting out thai food from here...
