Nails of the World — Local services in Denver

The staff is SO nice and accommodating but I am so disappointed by the quality of my manicure/pedicure. I called the store last minute, expecting them to say they were going to close soon. They said they were able to fit me in so I went anyway.... I wish I hadn't. The entire staff rushed to get me in and out and fast as possible. I had two people working on my nails at the same time and while it sounds enjoyable, it most certainly wasn't. They even brought the UV lamp to my chair and draped the cord OVER the foot bath, which made me really nervous. The lady originally working on my pedicure let another guy takeover and I swear he had never painted toes in his life!! He did two single layers of nail polish, without drying them, and they all promptly left after I paid (even though I didn't realize they were done!). I don't think my pedicure was gel at all.... I ended up paying $55 for poorly executed nails. I have never left a nail salon feeling so stressed and disappointed....

The only pro to this experience was that they sang karaoke after the shop closed.... that was entertaining. But not...

First of all, this place only accepts cash. They have an ATM, which charges a $3 fee and your bank will also charge $3. So if they’re expecting a tip, sorry. Secondly, this was the sloppiest polish job I’ve ever had. It’s all over my skin and under my toenails. The technicians nails were so long and pointy she could barely handle the brush much less clean up the excess. I had to ask her to use a toe separator after she applied base coat. Third, the towel was so hot it burned my legs and left pink welts on the tops of my feet. Forth all the mail polish bottles are dirty and covered in dust and grime. Last, the sign says a pedicure is $20 but it’s $30 apparently— so don’t rely on the pricing signs to be accurate. I recently moved to the area and have been here twice. I made appointments both times and was seated as soon as I walked in. I also saw 5 people walk in with pedicure appointments, and they all got pedicures at the same time (which I have very rarely seen at any nail salon). As far as customer service goes, they get 5 stars. They are incredibly polite and friendly, and create a wonderful environment. The quality here is TOP NOTCH. I never feel like they are rushing on my nails. They carefully evaluate your nails to ensure that they are flawless before sending you home, and are happy to correct any minor defects.
