Mango Mango Dessert - Glendale — Restaurant in Glendale

The first thing I noticed when I walked toward this shop was the swing, which resemblance of a mango. Walking inside the place, I noticed how bright and the clean the place is. There were customers sitting and enjoying their mango sago, eating their mango and sticky rice dessert. Nearby, a young man is drinking one of the two drinks he just purchased.

For me, I ordered the special mango juice smoothie-o. Since it came with pomelo topping, which is grapefruit, I asked them to remove it and add more of the mango smoothie.

As I took my first sip, I wondered what the small pearls I was sucking up through the straw, and they turned to be sagos (or tapioca). I am not sure how I feel about these small pearls, but I can tell you this drink is very refreshing. It’s the end of September, and here in Colorado, the weather can be warmer or cooler any given day, and today is on the warmer side. This drink hits the spot, and the small fresh mango pieces were the added bonus. My recommendation: make sure you get a spoon to scoop all of the mango pieces and not letting them go to waste.

Looking over the menu, I decided to order a scoop of ice cream. Looking at the choices, which were mango, green tea, vanilla, coconut, and durian, I chose to stay with the theme: mango. This ice cream wasn’t anything special. It’s more like a sherbet than ice cream. I believe these flavors are used in their sago desserts bowls.

Whatever you do do not go here unless you are willing to wait for three items over an 1 hour and half. You are definitely better off going to Menchie's or any other place can give you three items to go. They are not even a zero star place, these places are all just trendy and for the hype but do not waste your money there. The lady took her order they were out of most of the stuff when we arrived it was about 8:30 p.m. on Thursday the atmosphere is so loud like so loud if you're looking for dessert and you know just time to relax and eat your food that is definitely not the place to relax if you have sensory issues or get stimulated definitely not the place way too loud. The service was below average I don't blame the worker I blame the corporations trying to make these trendy places all the high but not give them enough employees to run the place. We never were told like it's going to be a while we're working on your order or anything I got our receipt at 8:35 and got our food at 9:53 and due to the employee in front not being in the front so we could get a refund cuz we wanted to walk out there is no apology sorry for the way like oh if you're willing to wait or maybe we should offer a refund just don't do it timing it's not worth it definitely look at other places or even try Sonic Sonic has amazing desserts. It was my first trip to Denver and the food scene did not disappoint. My family and I took MULTIPLE trips to Mango Mango and were not disappointed. In California there are Asian marketplaces and dessert shops galore, but in Denver they are far and few, especially when it comes to the dessert department. Enter Mango Mango and let me tell you, this franchise needs to be in California.

The first visit within the 5 days we were there consisted of trying traditional crepes, crepe cakes, and the drinks and sago. My grandma and dad were so happy they said the sago reminded them of the desserts they grew up with in the Philippines. Now my sister and I, we grub like no other. We ordered 4 things on the menu and when we got back to our hotel room, we were plotting our next stop to Mango Mango.

We came back a total of 3 days over the 5 days we were in Denver and although we had our favorites, we tried new things each visit.

The concept of the place is great. However you do have to bus your own items and the space is small. If you're thinking of bringing more than 4 people with you, be prepared to either sit outside or wait for a table that's open. But trust me, you will gladly come back for more. Overall experience and service, 10/10.
