Ok, where do I start? I work in the hazardous cleanup field so I'm exposed to A LOT of moldy, bloody, dirty, filthy environments... mainly hoarder houses and flooding disasters. The Belcaro is one of the nastiest places I've ever stepped foot in. I tried to suck it up and stick it out because I was so fatigued from driving that I NEEDED sleep, but after an hour I packed my things up and asked for a refund. Lets get into specifics. The first thing I noticed was that the carpet had multiple red stains. Blood? Puke? We will never know. I knew instantly that this room was going to be somewhat of a spectacle and I was curious about the condition of the bathroom, so I decided to check it out. On my way I noticed various punch holes and graffiti on the walls (no attempt to repair or cover them) and there was also what appeared to be dried semen on the walls. To be fair, it also could have been dried spit. Probably semen. The bathroom was decent, everything had been wiped down and the towels were folded. Cracked grout in the tile shower showed signs of mold and whatnot, but the bathroom really wasn't all that bad. I pulled back the sheets, they looked washed and relatively clean so I decided to try to get a nap in. I got into the bed and looked up toward the ceiling, only to notice a half finished drywall patch covering a 4x4 hole. It was actually comical that they decided not finish this repair before renting the room out to a paying customer. I laid there for a moment trying to process it all, but my thoughts were interrupted by loud street noise and foot traffic outside the room. I started to realize that it was freezing inside the room, so I went to turn on the heater. It only blew out cold air. That was straw that broke the camel's back. I packed up and headed to the front desk to ask for a refund. The clerk was obviously mad that I was asking for a refund, but she gave it to me anyway. I'll be closely monitoring my credit card statement, but as far as I can tell my card was never charged. I'm happy with the refund. I would not recommend the Belcaro to any traveling families with children. This place is better suited for junkies and prostitutes. They also don't allow pets or medical marijuana use in any of the room. While these policies didn't affect me, it's something to...
Read moreWorstmanagment ever in any hotel or motel ive ever had.english is not spoken or understood by managment they make.up rules at will and charge cash deposit for non smoking room even with your cc on file. Broken window glass everywhere but managment and owners dont understand liability .they have signs posted there not responsible for slips and falls on ice. YES THEY ARE LIABLE. A sign does not exempt one from clearing ice from walks and drives.so your sink and tub dont wirk and back up hah no fix till after 1100am tomarrow. But wait check out is at 1100. Good luck changing rooms they just get worse and the spray paint over mold instead of eraticating it. And its easy to erraticate it over letting it continue to spread. Oh but they dont understand english. So dont even try spanish iits not.known either. Greenbacks might get youva room with a chair upgrade or windows that arent falling apart. Maids are the only thing i can say are hard working ladies but its not there fault the place smells and in poor repair that falls under managment. Security is only the police there often there and no concern for the amount of noise they make the guest staying there our considered fools for staying their owne so its ok to wake them all up at all times of night.Best to go a mile or two...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. My family and I have had several interactions with the front desk staff over the last two weeks and each time, the front desk staff and woman who answered the phone (same person) was extremely rude and off-putting. My handicapped father likes these type of motels because of the convenience. When my father expressed the need to have a room on the ground floor, because he has trouble walking and would be traveling alone, the employee told him to "call back tomorrow" because there may be another guest who needs that room first. She wasn't even interested in having a conversation with him and treated him as if he was ruining her day by trying to support HER "business". Further, the employee said there were no rooms available, but as my father was walking out the door, she miraculously found an empty room, but for $20 more of course. This is NOT how a business should operate and NOT how a business should treat a handicapped customer who was simply asking if there was a room available. Take it from me - save you money and choose literally any other hotel in Denver. After this experience, my father called La Quinta Cherry Creek and was treated...
