Colorado's oldest and one of it's most prestigious whiskey distillers also has one of the best tour and tasting experiences in the state. I've done countless tastings at distilleries of all kinds and many tours, but no one has ever offered a better experience than Laws Whiskey House. The knowledge was so easily digestible even at an hour long, thanks to the presentation, interaction and genuine passion of our tour guide. They were also very generous with their pours along the way, which would seem like a given with this sort of thing but actually rarely is. With the addition of a giant brand new tasting room and bar space coming soon, this will easily become more and more of a destination for all who share a passion for distilling and delicious brown water. Whiskey lovers rejoice!

Eh. If you want a personalized and unique experience of a distillery, this isn’t it. Laws is the Burger King of distilleries. Is it palatable? Sure, some of their spirits are delish and I won't deny that. Price point is a tad high IMO. My recommendation is to head here after you’ve been to distilleries that give you the grade A+ treatment, that way once you come here, you’ll know what you like and what you don’t. Why does this matter? There are literally approx 60 distilleries in Colorado (I’ve been there and counted that) and 98% give you the feeling of love and passion of what they do, Laws does not fit that bill. You pick what you MAY like, they pour it out on a one half ounce pour (with three tastings) I’ll reiterate one HALF ounce and you’re on your own with a bowl of pretzels. If you’ve ever felt like you’re bugging the server, this gives you that feeling. You don’t get the one-on-one story or the love of the craft. The tour is just as mediocre. Laws is the perfect place to roll in for a quick and overpriced tasting with zero explanation. Their liquor is good, but overpriced. I’ll say that I have had WAY worse spirits, credit where credit is due, but they’re not the best, but they are pretty damn good. You’ll pay $80 approx depending on what you purchase, for what you could get literally two blocks in each direction for literally half of the price. (Stranahan’s, Devil’s Head, Break Creek, I could go on, and on and on) I’m not saying not to go here. I’m saying don’t go here for anything special. Barely any seating, barely any service, and barely anything original. Side note: We had to stop here once for a competition and was forced to buy a product to get the "stamp" we needed. This is NOT allowed and they blatantly broke the rules of the contest. I don't support unethical establishments. Ever.

Tucked just one block off Broadway in the Park Hills neighborhood is a discreetly hidden high-end, whiskey distillery. Laws is doing whiskey the right way, with high-end ingredients and honest work to create a product that is approachable and also incredibly delicious. Highly encourage you to plan ahead for a private tour, but even if you can’t, you should come in for a public tour and enjoy the knowledge, base and kindness, and well educated staff here at the distillery. Laws hosts a tasting room with all of their bottled offerings as well as opportunities to purchase unique bottles you can only find here. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend.

This is by far the most informative and enjoyable tour I've ever had the pleasure attending. We had a great tour guide and our group really had fun from start to finish. Definitely worth the price. It's not hard to see that they put so much work into every aspect of their product and they have fun doing it, too. Whiskey Church was a nice touch. Picked up another 4-Grain Straight Bourbon (my personal fave) and the Triticum Straight Wheat (per staff's recommendation). Words don't do their whiskey justice, so you'll just have to taste it yourself - because I'm not sharing mine!
