I've visited Adelitas a handful of times, and each visit has been a 10/10! Consistently amazing food and wonderful service--this place truly serves up some of the best tacos in Denver.
Their Taco Tuesday special is incredible - flavor-packed tacos starting at $2. I usually order 4-8 tacos. They are so good! They offer their taco special all day, so it's perfect for lunch, dinner, or even both if you're really feeling it. They also have a "Taco of the Week" special available after 4 or 5 PM, so if you come in the evening ask what they are offering, it's always delicious!
My top three tacos are the Al Pastor, Carnitas, and the Lengua. The beef tongue taco (Lengua) is incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked, while the Al Pastor and Carne Asada are packed with authentic flavors that really stand out. The Shrimp Avocado taco is also always spot-on, with fresh ingredients and a great balance of flavors.
And don’t skip dessert! The sopapillas are good, but the tres leches cake is amazing! It's so rich, moist, and just the right amount of sweetness to finish off your meal. I highly recommend it! If you are too full to enjoy it there, take it to go. That cake might be better than the tacos....
Parking can be a bit challenging. There's a small lot on Broadway just a couple of doors down, but I recommend parking on Lincoln or Sherman and walking over for easier in-and-out access.
Adelitas is my top recommendation whenever friends come to town--great food, affordable prices, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. If you're craving authentic tacos, this spot should be at the top...
Read moreI wanted to share an absolutely incredible experience we had at Adelitas! My now-fiancée and I went on our very first date there a couple of years ago, so it holds a special place in our hearts. When I decided to propose, I reached out to Adelitas to see if they could help make the moment even more memorable. Even though they don't typically take reservations, they made an exception for us, which was so incredibly thoughtful.
From the moment we arrived, the staff was amazing. Everything went flawlessly, and they went above and beyond to make the proposal perfect. They even created a beautiful presentation with the dessert, which was a lovely surprise. And where able to record the proposal, and they played a special song immediately after, adding to the magic of the moment. They truly helped us create a lifetime memory, and I cannot thank them or their staff enough.
Beyond the exceptional service for our special occasion, we are huge fans of Adelitas in general. The tacos and margaritas are absolutely amazing! We especially love the Al Pastor tacos – they're our absolute favorite. Every time we visit, the food is consistently delicious and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
If you're looking for a place with fantastic food, amazing service, and a truly special atmosphere, Adelitas is the place to go. They made our proposal unforgettable, and we'll forever be grateful. Thank you...
Read moreA very well deserved five stars! We are visiting from Texas and a worker from one of the shops down the street suggested this place when we asked what was good to eat near us. Adelitas was recommended to us because they have the best margaritas in town. Little did we know the food would be just as delicious as the margaritas.
Parking had the potential to be disastrous, but luckily they weren’t as busy inside. The hostess who answered the phone informed us about the tiny shared parking lot next to the restaurant. We got a parking space and walked to the place and was seated immediately.
Jeffery was so very helpful and even though he suggested a few menu items to us, he assured us that no matter what we ordered, everything would be excellent. The chips and salsa are top notch!!! We also ordered a chimichanga and created an enchilada plate that included two enchiladas and one tamale. The chimichanga was fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender and flavorful on the inside. I wasn’t a fan of the tamale, but my husband liked it. The chicken enchilada was also really good. However, the cheese enchilada was tough to eat. The cheese was so thick and stiff that I initially thought I was eating the chicken one. I would get the other items again and will definitely be back to try...
