Service The service was terrible. The server dropped the laminated menus on the table and walked away.
The only good thing about the service is - we were brought our drinks, appetizers, and entrees timely.
However, our tables were never cleared, both men who served our table were more interested in watching staring into space or watching the football game than providing service.
Food I love Indian and Nepalese food.
We ordered the Onion Bhaijji. It was very red and tasted as if Lawry's salt had been used as part of the flavor profile. Same is true of veggie pakoras. What a weird flavor choice.
I ordered the lamb makhani prepared mild. Just because a dish is mild doesn't mean it should be flavorless. It was flavorless. It literally had NO flavor. The makhani sauce had no flavor. The lamb pieces had no flavor. The sauce itself was blank.
My mom ordered the chicken makhani mild. It too was FLAVORLESS.
Garlic Naan The bread tasted store bought with garlic sprinkled on top. It was thin and flavorless bread. Truly.
I barely ate and did not take my lamb makhani dish home. I could not. It was really not good.
Atmosphere The restaurant was practically empty save for all the Uber and Door Dashers picking up orders.
The atmosphere at the Denver location is dark and cold. It was dark inside the restaurant.
Feedback I shared with 1 of our 2 servers that our service had been poor. I pointed to the table packed with dishes that no one had ever cleared. No one asked to refill our drinks. Instead, we had to wave really hard to interrupt any of the servers' t.v. watching time. Staring into space and watching the game was their priority. I informed the server of this. He didn't apologize. I really walked away wit the impression that the servers just didn't care to make patrons feel as if they cared.
When I also told him to share with the kitchen that the Makhani sauce was bland - he did inquire what I meant about the blandness. This was the only thing he expressed any interest in. I told him my lamb dish was mild (I didn't want spicy food) and flavorless as opposed to mild and FLAVORFUL.
I really left that restaurant (that was recommended to me by a friend) feeling demoralized and still hungry (since I left my entire lamb makhani dish) on the table. I walked away with a solid feeling that the servers DO NOT CARE WHAT KIND OF SERVICE THEY PROVIDE. They just drop menus on the table and WALK AWAY.
I cannot recommend this place and I'll NEVER eat there again.
I actually like eating at Indian restaurants where the food is flavorful. I also like eating in places where the servers make you feel that they do actually care if you'll ever return to their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGlad to try this new place in our neighborhood tonight! We ordered pick up through the online ordering system. Food is truly delicious! We got the Aloo tikki chaat, garlic naan, chicken kadai, and chicken Rogan Josh. The chaat was very good and well packaged for to go service. The naan wasnāt super fresh but still tasted great. The entrees were both fairly spicy. Kadai did not have a spice level option and we got the medium for the Rogan Josh. Good amount of spice to both, so if thatās a problem for you, start with mild! It was perfect for us, but might try the next level up next time (we like spicy!) Online ordering system was the only negative about our experience. When I ordered it said it would take 1.5-2 hours which seemed excessive for a Wednesday night. I walked over a bit before the 1.5 hour deadline and clicked the ācheck-inā button on my email before actually walking in. The system said the food would be another 40 minutes. I decided to go inside anyway and see if it would really be that long. It was ready and waiting for me, so I donāt know how long it had been sitting there. It was still warm, and obviously we loved the food, just had that little hiccup with the online ordering. Overall, GREAT food and nice staff! We will be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is strictly about service. We order from here all the time. I was with friends at a brewery down the block so I ordered some shareable items and a couple entrees to take home. It said my order would be ready in 20 minutes. Apparently I ordered in the middle of a bunch of delivery orders. I arrived to pick up my food gave the server my name and watched several orders get picked up before me. I looked at the order number on one of the bags and it was 12 orders after mine. At this point it 20 after my order was supposed to be ready. One of the servers said my order was taking so long because I ordered the momo fried and they had to steam it first which takes 16 minutes. I know it didnāt take 16 minutes to steam them and another 20+ minutes to fry them. The only thing that makes sense for my order taking 45 minutes when all the delivery drivers were coming and going with orders after mine is that they were prioritizing the delivery orders. Super disappointing. I was never told when I arrived it would take that long. No apology. The worst part was that by the time I got my food everyone I was with leaving/ left...
