By far the worst car buying experience I’ve had. They are liars, cheaters and thieves. Bought a 2021 Volkswagen from them, when purchasing we put in the contract that they would be fixing the crack in my bumper which was there previous to my purchase. I brought the car in last Monday to get fixed, they gave me a loner for the day, I put down the hold for the loner at 7:52 then at 10:33 I got a notification that $500 was charged to my account. When I called them to ask why they did that, they said they didn’t charge anything but when I called my bank they said there was most definitely two charges of $250, sketchy right? PLUS I HAD JUST PAID THEM 34000 FOR MY CAR NOT EVEN A MONTH PRIOR. (It was contracted in that they are covering all the charges to fix the crack.) They proceeded to tell me I’m crazy and didn’t charge me anything extra, yet two hours later they finally called to tell me that they did. And “must’ve been an accident” not mention halfway through the day They told me they were unable to fix it that day. When I get there to pickup my car they lost my keys and proceeded to give me another set that wasn’t even my keys for my car and insisted that those were the keys I gave them. Plus they charged me a random $25 dollar fee, for no reason and when I asked them what it was they told me it was yet another “mistake”. Now we’re here a week later they pickup my car again to fix the cracked bumper, it was picked up Monday morning supposed to be done by end of day. I call them halfway through the day, turns out they completely messed up the fix and have to send it out to the auto body shop, and they needed to bring me a loaner for the next day- and will be done on Tuesday. Now Tuesday rolls around, I’ve asked for pictures 4 times- I’ve received nothing. Turns out they needed the car for another day, when I called the service department Justin picked up and when I told him I needed my health insurance from my car because I didnt think the car would be gone for 3 days he proceeded to tell me it “wasn’t his problem” and “I should’ve grabbed it when I gave them the car” now reminder my car was supposed to be there for a few hours. Anyways - I finally have my car back, but they caused me a month of pure hell and many tears. Between miscommunication with Marvin my sales manager and the general sales manger being an absolute monster to deal with. The only person who treated me with any respect was Jim Stolz, the service manager. Everyone else needs a lesson on human decency and respect. Glad I don’t have to deal with them anymore!!
Update: got the car back from them when they “fixed it”… for the second time. It was completely messed up and not properly done. There were dripping in the paint. All the emblems had paint on them, overspray on my back windshield. Paint smears on the wheel cover and the whole wheel itself. With damage and duct tape to my passenger door which wasn’t there before. There’s a new ding in the door, Plus there was white paint on the back bumper that didn’t even match the paint of the car (they told me they repainted the whole bumper). They have the car now but we’ll see how it looks, it’s been There for a week, this is an absolute mess. I’ve owned the car for a month and haven’t had it for nearly 2 weeks for that month. Oh! And now there’s rust the exact area they painted over!!! How does that...
Read moreZero stars for Route 10 Nissan in Denville, NJ. Very irresponsible and unprofessional employees. The salesman Moe Awaad did not pay attention to his direct responsibilities. I chose car for lease , but the contract and all the paper work were issued for a different car, with a different color and a different VIN number, due to the mistake by salesman Moe Awaad. The lease agreement was concluded on January 10, 2024. On January 19, 2024, I found an error in the documentation and returned to the dealership Route 10 Nissan in Denville , NJ with a request to correct everything in the Nissan system and issue me a new contract for the correct car and correct VIN number. Financial manager - Dmitry Tsvilikhpovski allowed me to sign a new contract and said that he would put a new car in the Nissan system, and will remove the old contract and the wrong car from the system. On February 16, 2024, my car ran out of temporary plates and temporary registration. I arrived at the dealership. Ask again why the permanent license plates and permanent registration are still not ready. Financial manager Dmitry Tsvilikhpovski told me that we would now conclude a new contract for my car and promised that he would definitely provide a new VIN number in the system and delete the old one from the Nissan system. After signing the new, third contract, he gave me new temporary license plates and a new temporary registration. 2 weeks later, on February 29, 2024, I myself decided to check whether my car appeared in the Nissan system or not. I called the company and was very surprised that my car was not in the system, but there was still a car in the system on my name, with a different VIN number, and I already had past due payment for the car which I do not have. I had to call the support service, costumer service , financial department, and the consumer affairs department all day long and convince and prove that I was right, while sending pictures of all the documents with my car and the correct VIN number. Financial manager Dmitry Tsvilikhpovski lied to me that he had done and corrected everything. For 6 weeks he did NOTHING. I've been driving with temporary license plates for 2 months now. This is unacceptable and outrageous. Because of these irresponsible, unprofessional and deceitful employees in Route 10 Nissan in Denville , NJ , I am very upset and disappointed in the entire Nissan company. I will never go back to this...
Read moreI purchased a new 2017 Nissan Sentra for my daughter at Route 10 Nissan in Denville, NJ. She recently experienced two instances of unintended acceleration about two months apart and took it to Route 10 Nissan on May 17, 2023, to check. They checked this problem for free, and the service advisor (James Smith) told her they had performed all diagnostic tests and the vehicle was operating as designed. He then told her a check engine light was on and asked if she wanted them to check it out for $160 + tax (170.60). She said yes and waited three hours for them to tell her that she needed a $495 repair to replace the coolant temperature sensor, and if she did not, her car could overheat and destroy the engine. Since I had driven the car the week before (with no check engine light on) and she drove to the dealership to check the acceleration issue (with no check engine light on), she declined the repair. I spoke with Mr. Smith on the phone, asking how it could be possible to deliver a car to them without the check engine light on, and after they checked the acceleration issue (which did not generate a check engine light), the light was now on for an unrelated matter. He could not tell me why that occurred, and I informed him I would post a review of this experience online. He said he understood. When she drove home, the check engine light was not on, and she continues to drive the car with no check engine light on. Here is where we come to the difference between dishonesty and fraud. If Mr. Smith had told her she should have the radiator flushed and fluid replaced, even if it was not required at the time or something else that was not needed, that would have been dishonest. Telling her they found a nonexistent check engine light is fraud. I do not want a refund for the $170.60. However, I want to thank Mr. Smith for the educational opportunity to show her how people working on commission can feel pressured to come up with unneeded services to make more money for themselves and the dealership, even if it involves dishonesty. This can also increase their value in the eyes of upper management as an employee for generating more money. I do not know if the mechanic told Mr. Smith of the check engine light without his direct knowledge, if Mr. Smith made this up on his own, or if they both knew. I will be reporting this to the New Jersey Division of...
