It’s great way to start your day. Depending on your comfort with crowds make it an early start! The variety of booths are great! I love dogs and you’ll see a lot of them. It seemed like most owners are responsible enough to only bring pets that are sociable with other pets and people. The food is great and you’ll likely run into someone you know. It’s a nice place to learn something from local business owners. Again…I suggest you come early and beat the crowd.

Experienced the Farmers Market for the first time today. It was a lovely experience. There was a variety of fresh food stalls, baked goods and homemade items. There are food trucks available as well. I would recommend going early as by 09:00 it was already getting packed. People do stroll through rather slowly so if you are a faster walker, be prepared to zigzag through the crowd.

Stopped in at Farm Kids tent for the best breakfast burrito around. Long lines but goes quickly. They serve customers on both sides. Workers look like the enjoy helping the customers. We will stop back next time we head to the Des Moines Downtown Farmers Market!

Enjoy the Saturday morning with a stroll through the Downtown Farmer’s Market. Where there is farm fresh eggs, vegetables, handmade treats like Dutch letters, fresh flowers and live music.
