A pretty terrible VR experience if this isn't new to you - I drive in VR for hours a day, and within 5 minutes I was motion sick due to bad framerates (~30), bad quality (anything more than 2 feet away is non distinguishable), and no attempt at IPD calibration for each player.
In my group of 4, every headset was met with a low battery warning, at which point a heavy and uncomfortable battery bank was haphazardly velcro'd to the back - after 30 minutes, all 4 of us were complaining of the discomfort it was causing. Each headset had a silicone face cover that felt too large and would crease in points, adding to the discomfort. Also, once I tightened by headset, I was unable to loosen it, despite the cheap knockoff "elite straps".
2 games nets you about an hour of play for ~$70. At that rate, you could buy a VR headset within a few visits.
This is just one guy trying his best, though - If you are new to VR, go for it. If you're not, set low expectations.
EDIT: Owner tried to invalidate the poor review - The footage mentioned in the response does not describe my group, but another group that was present at the same time . States that the multiplayer experience is unique in the fact that you can see others within the player area, despite Local Multiplayer API being released 8 months prior. Didn't even bother to comment on the actual poor quality of the experience, but instead tries to tell me I wasn't there. If you aren't providing an experience better than you could get solo, why exist? Be better, be innovative, or be cheaper. Last-gen headsets, standing on foamboard, connected to a laptop is...
Read moreSo we stumbled upon this hidden gem! Took the family out to do something fun and different and with it being wonder and of course COVID season there aren't many options. So the boyfriend found this place online and we decided to give it a try. It was also even better knowing that the location of this place was just a few blocks from us. This hidden gem is located inside of the old southridge mall across from the old ARL. When we arrived we were treated by the young gentleman who helped up sign in with our information of everyone in our group. Once we completed that he walked us through everything, got is set up and ready to go! He was very helpful and very attentive when one of us needed help! This place is definitely fun for the whole family if they are into gaming. We will definitely be going back and they have a bunch of different pricing options which is really cool and you can share time with others. We chose to do the $99 package which 5 of us splint and had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves. They also have VR lazer tag!! We will be back to try that no doubt. They did mention here soon they will be opening more gaming options in the area just to the right of them. There is alot of room there so I'm super excited to see what they do with it. So don't hesitate to give them a try. They were very clean...
Read moreThis place is super impressive! We took a risk hosting my son’s birthday party here without ever having visited in advance.. but after thoroughly reading other reviews that all mentioned how helpful the staff was and it being fun for all ages, I felt confident taking a chance. Thanks to other reviewers about how to find the place I was also able to prepare parents in advance. As soon as you step into this place, there is a real WOW-factor! The first words out of everyone’s mouths were “wow, this place is cool” The staff AND the experience lived up to the hype! The kids were all able to get the hang of how to play very easily because the headsets do all the magic and the controllers only have 2 buttons to manage. I love that the arenas are surrounded by VIP-style lounges, that made it easy and comfortable for us to sit back and watch the kids play. There are monitors that reflect the game world that is going on in their headsets so you don’t feel left out as a spectator. None of the kids in my son’s party had ever been here before, but I heard just about every one of them asking their parents if they could come here again! We may have just set a trend for all the parties to follow :) Overall, wouldn’t hesitate to have a party here again and also look forward to coming here as a family in...
