Have been many times, and have had hit and miss days. Pretty normal for this type of place. Went today, on a Friday, which is restock day. Got there 45 minutes before they opened and joined the line lije everyone else. Ten minutes before they oprn, a mob starts forming at the entry way, not caring at all about the people who have been standing in line. The manager and a few works come out and begin to yell to explain the rules of "her" store and how they will kick you out for this or that. After voicing concerns of their online policies and just general courtesy being completely ignored, I start to get yelled and cussed out by one of the employees, screaming at me to go to the back of the line. Of course I tried to get her to calm down and stop freaking out and cussing at me, when I was then approached by the manager and another employer who started yelling at me as well, in my face, very confrontational. The manager started grabbing at my ticket to pull it from my hand. Of course I told her I would give it back, but not to be trying to snatch anything from me. At the end of the day, could I have just left it alone and "followed suit"? Yes. But I refuse to be treated that way by anyone, especially employees at a business that I am attempting to do business with. I have had different experiences throughout my 40 something years on this earth, but this, by far, is the most disrespected I have ever felt from a business. I understand there are rules and things in place for a reason, but it is NEVER ok to speak to/treat anyone like they did me, let alone a paying customer. I believe this manager should be held accountable and at a minimum retrained how to administer customer service but more than likely, should find a new line of work, where customers are not involved in any way. Shame on them, I will also be...
Read moreI've gone to Where Ya Bin four times now. They are located in what was previously a Toys r Us store. I have seen as many as 144 tray table bins out, all very full of items. I was there opening day ($10 day). I have to say I was most excited that their cheapest day coincides with my day off work. I like to get more of the small stuff so I've gone twice on Thursdays when everything is $0.25. I've gotten some very very good deals. I've been very impressed with the selection and quality of items. There are a lot of Target salvage items, overstock, liquidated items, Amazon return type of products.
I do think they can improve on their checkout speed. Restock day and the cheapest day are very very busy crowded days. I was expecting to be in the checkout lines for quite a while. However, from the time I got into the line for on Thursday and got checked out was 2 hours and 50 minutes. I noticed quite a few customers giving up and just leaving before making purchases. I hope Where Ya Bin implements some things to help with this issue. I've been to a lot of other bin stores in several different states. I've been to one that when busy they have a worker count up items in your cart before you get to the register. They give you a note card with the number of your items for the cashier to run payment. It greatly speeds up the checkout process. Pros: *Great selection and quantity of product *Tray tables make it easy to dig through items *Lots of shopping carts *Testing station *Workers friendly (mostly)
Cons *Check out line time exceedingly long on busy days (Nearly 3 hours!) *Hard to hear when staff has made announcements. No...
Read moreI love shopping at where ya bin. I always find the best things. But, it is so disheartening how the staff treats us customers. The general manager is just so rude! Every time I get there early on Fridays and wait in line like I am supposed to, she lets everyone cut the line and crowds form around the door. She lets those who have been crowding all around the door get tickets before people that have been waiting in line for hours. Then, when I say that we have been waiting in line and it’s not fair these other people are coming right in front of us. She screams and curses in my face and threatens to trespass me because “this is my store and if you don’t like it you can leave”. She is so horrible every single time I see her. Absolutely awful attitude towards customers. She is always threatening to trespass. She even said she is going to get photos of everyone who is trespassed and make a wall of shame to see when you walk in the store. Very unprofessional and rude. She even told my father to get to the back of the line and tried snatching his ticket out of his hand. Again, I love shopping here but with a general manager in place like that, it makes it very hard to want...
