Locals' Market — Attraction in Dillsburg

Dillsburg is a small community, however it's been experiencing quite a bit of growth lately as people have come to discover this hidden gem. There are some growing pains associated with this growth, and part of that is commerce to meet the needs of the residents. Currently there is one chain grocery and another is set to open here shortly. These places work as intended, but it's purely functional. Go in, get whatever, get out. There are businesses in town that provide a more personal and memorable experience, regardless of the product offered. One example is Locals Market. At it's core, it offers staples as does other grocery outlets. If that's all you want and care little about the experience, guidance behind your purchase or supporting your local community, then maybe this isn't for you. Truly encased in the namesake, this is a locals market. All of the staff is warm and friendly and eager to help. The selection of goods is small by comparison to a chain outlet, but it's selectively curated. You'll know and appreciate this when you taste your items. The deli case really shines here with a fantastic selection of fresh items. They also offer freshly made delicatessen items that are out of this world. So you might think that smaller boutique offerings are much more expensive, however the prices here are minimally higher than chain, but the difference in quality far outpaces the cost difference. 2024 Mar 19 - Locals Market is open! This is easily accessible from Rt 15 in Dillsburg, or a quick couple of turns off Baltimore Street, between the square and Rt 15 by Sheetz.

The ample parking lot was nearly full on opening day, with locals eager to support Seth Weaver's new business.

The store is packed with a generous selection of essential household supplies, kitchen cleaners & supplies, laundry essentials, and paper goods.

There are fresh vegetables & hard produce. Cereals, canned foods, seasonings, and spices are all stocked. Beverages, dairy, frozen foods, and much more are available.

Of course, there are the things that Weaver's of Wellsville is known for, such as a wonderful butcher, deli, and seafood, both fresh and frozen. Smoked bones are in the butcher's case for bone broth and other recipes, as well as your canine friends. 🐕

I can't forget the awesome beef sticks, available in sweet, sweet with red pepper, beef and cheese, and others. My favorite sand tart cookies are on the shelves too! 😁

There is a coffee station for your morning commute, and a sandwich counter for lunch. They also provide seating above the deli should you want to eat your lunch there.

I’ve been to Locals’ Market in Dillsburg many times! I’ve purchased everything from local meats to fresh produce, and various other grocery store items they offer. They make subs and sandwiches fresh and are made to order and are absolutely out of this world! The market is big enough where you can get just about everything that you need however it still has that small town local vibe that makes it such a great resource to our community! The staff is super friendly, It is very easy to get in and out of and there is plenty of parking. So many great things that are offered, but at the top of the list, the Weaver’s world famous beef sticks, bologna, and double smoked bacon!
