This park was a blessing! In the surrounding area there weren’t any dog parks before, and I would have to take my dogs all the way to Doral or Westchester. I take my dogs here on the evenings once the sun is down whenever I can, and there’ll usually be a couple of dogs playing. Mind you, my senior chihuahua is antisocial but adores this place and it keeps her active. Everyone is super nice. Everything is kept clean! There’s doggy bags in case your dog has to potty. There’s separation between the large dogs and little dogs.
As for the park itself, beautiful park. It has a large field where you’ll often see kids playing sports or doing gymnastics. The playground is modern fun. My little family members have raved nonstop about this park since I took them. It’s become a hit, and our treasured neighborhood park. The nature preserve is beautiful and well taken care of. It’s thriving. So glad this project came to life within our...
Read moreNice little secluded park with a small and large dog park. Don’t think it’s $6.5 million dollars nice. I guess someone got paid.
However, this park is typical of Miami-Dade park design. There is not a single shade tree. I mean it’s not like we live in Miami and it’s 90° 3/4 of the year. Also, shoddy Miami-Dade construction work. Dog park doors do NOT lock, handles (see pictures) were installed upside down and the door catches do NOT line up and actually engage the lock. I mean surely pushing UP to open a door is totally normal. No irritation system (except garden hoses see pictures) so nothing but dear yellowing dry grass. Guess $6.5 million doesn’t go as far as it used too. 🙄
If you live here long enough you already know where most of that money actually went. As citizens and tax payers really...
Read moreI can't figure out for the life of me why it says online that this place is open from 9am-5pm. There's nothing here. There is no park, as it is currently being constructed, but I was at least able to surmise as much from reading the other reviews. The preserve itself, however, is completely closed off with gates. There is no trail or anything to actually go in and walk through the nature preserve. Not knowing this area, I figured there would be at least that, or SOMETHING, since it says hours are from 9am-5pm. Who's the moron that posts what hours this place is open before there's actually...
