Came very hungry and in the mood for Venezuelan food with my boyfriend. After looking it up we were both surprised that we hadn't eaten there before since we go to that strip mall pretty frequently but then upon arrival we noticed that there was no sign posted outside with the other storefronts so its easy to overlook.
Once inside its pretty large and even has a little market with some interesting items there. There was a bunch of healthy options in the market such as gluten free items. When we came up to order at the counter is when we noticed the strange menu posted that had no prices and just random pictures. We were handed a menu by the nice girl at the counter and I still found it to be very confusing which took us quite a while to read through. I am not one to complain normally about such things but it really was that disorganized which was disappointing considering how well the food tasted! I hope that management figures out something easier so people don't shy away from here by creating a more complete menu or a chipotle styled system where you can create your own options.
My boyfriend made his own beef pepito which was nowhere to be seen on the menu but we found about through yelp. It was gigantic and delicious! He especially loved it being Venezuelan----saying that there were toppings and sauces that are usually hard to find available there. I went for the patacon sandwich with beef which was cut into fours and filled with veggies, cheese, and a creamy Venezuelan sauce. I have to admit----it was divine!
We thoroughly enjoyed our food and service but did notice that prices were a little steep for two people.......we never got a receipt so I can't tell you how much each item was. I hope to see them make some updates because the food does taste...
Read moreI have been coming to this place for years and have been through their many names changes, and owner changes from way back when they were called Suculentos. It seems like they were bought by this chain called Sabor Venezolano. This used to be favorite place to come in and dine and order via Uber eats. However, ever since they were bought out and had a name change this place has never been the same. I kept giving them the benefit of doubt to see if their food would improve but I could honestly say it has not. Every-time I come and order empanadas they are over cooked almost hard to fully bite into because the breading is burned on the outside, but somehow the inside is frozen. I was surprised to see when I bit into my empanada that it was still frozen in the middle and had to chew threw cold meat. Their arepas are okay, but you could definitely find better ones near by. Their cake is also extremely dry, opposed to before it used to be moist and very flavorful and those are just to name a couple of things.
It truly is shame to see how much this place has changed recently. I'm sad to say after coming here and ordering online for over 7 years I will no longer be...
Read moreAs a Realtor I know how important location is for a business so when I saw this place next to a paint shop and salsa bar I was instantly hesitant of entering. I couldn't imagine enjoying a plate of food with music blasting through the walls. I went for breakfast which was a safe time in my eyes but a little daring on my palate. I love Venezuelan cuisine but have never been crazy about their breakfast when the variety of mixed ingredients all end up tasting the same. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. Although the menu does not specify all the ingredients included (which it should) each bite tasted like fresh tomato, peppers and onions as if they were just picked and placed in my omelet. Chicken for breakfast was a first as I am usually a steak and eggs person but I really enjoyed the soft chicken alongside the avocado and arepa. Would definitely come again but will have to specify ingredients I DISLIKE before ordering to ensure it's not delivered on my plate by surprise. I don't think it's practical to assume all people will enjoy biting into an onion for breakfast. Thank...
