I came to Miami for Art Basel. This place was about 15 mins from where I was staying. I wanted a nice, chill, calm place to smoke hookah. I didn't want an overcrowded, noisy, messy place. I read the reviews and figured that this spot would be perfect. Boy was I right! First and foremost I was greeted immediately by Laura. Her smile lights up a room and she was super nice. She seated me and immediately attended to my needs with amazing customer service. I ordered a hookah recommended by here as well as some moscato. Laura was super attentive. Checked on me all the time, made sure my hookah was pulling correctly-they even give you a little cup of complimentary popcorn. She was just perfect. But it gets better! The owner, Feras, is also just a remarkable person. He makes it his business to greet each and every person in his establishment. Every piece, painting...has a story behind it. He had a dream and and he labored and brought it to life. I have never met a person who did so much for their establishment! I mean he built pieces in there! Created hookahs, innovated drinks-the originality of this place is so beautiful and becomes more beautiful if you ask/hear about its history. I appreciated his hard work and dedication to doing what he loved. This spot is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy good food, good company and a great ambience. I wasn't hungry when i went but they do offer food. They also have an amazing brunch deal that one should check out! I went two nights in a row. The second night I tried a different hookah flavor, mango something...which was great as well. I had a different server (don't know her name, sorry) but she was also super nice. They all serve you with wide genuine smiles on your face. They all make eye contact, ask if you're okay and check on you. The staff has an amazing way of making you feel valued which was why I came back 2 days in a row. Laura made me an amazing drink, but It was pink and amazing. Yesterday I got some hot tea. Either way, I was so happy with my visits to this place. Such creativity, such originality, such personality. It is definitely a place I would revisit and recommend! There is also another staff member named Mecai (sp?) Super pleasant, great smile, also caring. She also really enhanced my experience. Feras has employed people who care about their job and reflected positively on the mission, vision and ambience he has created. If you're in the area, stop by even if for a quick second! The first night I was there I easily spent three hours there comfortably. There's light music (like you can still talk comfortably - you don't have to yell over loud music), there's tvs and there is also ample parking. This place would be great to celebrate various occasions and Feras is also perfecting a VIP...
Read moreBeing an active member of the hookah community in Miami Dade County and Broward County for about 13 years, I have been to my fair share of hookah bars. Everytime I found a new one that could provide a calm and relaxing atmosphere, they seem to have found a DJ to create the everyday club experience. Needless to say, that wasn't for me. I had almost given up on them entirely until someone invited me to Hookita and I automatically fell in love! The chic decorations, photos on the wall, their secluded Eden spot, and the delicious and cleverly named hookahs had me picking up my jaw by the end of the night.
Hookita has become a safe haven for my friends, family, and business partners. We have celebrated birthdays, big decisions, and glorious wins in this home away from home. The owner and staff are exceptionally hospitable and always hook it up with fresh coals as often as possible. Hookita has quickly become my favorite end of the work day spot to kick off my heels, lay back on a comfy couch, sip on a glass Cabernet and smoke some incredible hookah.
Check it out! I assure you, you won't be...
Read moreFor those who have had ever smoked hookah or have owned a hookah, go here. This is unlike your home hookah or any other hookah place in Miami. For those who haven't - go here. You'll be so spoiled you'll immediately fall in love with this place. Now, I don't usually write reviews on anything, but this place has inspired me to write about it. The first time we walked in was by chance, and the owner Firas treated my girlfriend and I like royalty. The seating is beyond comfortable, the environment is relaxed and quiet enough that you can either talk to each other or study, and the ambience that Firas and his employees have created makes you actually WANT to be social with other patrons. I have smoked hookah and cigars in many different types of lounges or places, but I truly, honestly, have never been treated the way that I am treated here, even at five star restaurants that cost an arm and a leg. The hookahs are well kept, with a vast variety of flavors (ask for the Calle Ocho), the coffee is great (have the Turkish coffee!) and the staff are amazing. This is my new...
