A great asset to have in a small southern town. Art has been the cornerstone of civilizations since the beginning of time. It is expressed in many ways, our imagination and creativity is the conduit for canvas, pottery, music, photography, dance, adornments, soft and hard sculptures, architecture, writing and more. Art has provided us a history of ourselves, our surroundings, our social structure, in fact without art expression we could characterize ourselves as soulless, empty, cold. I am an artist, a deeply feeling, intuitive person who tends to be a realist struggling with the beautiful and often times ugly landscape called humanity. Read moreIt had been a while since I've been to this museum, maybe over 15 years. I stopped by to check out the exhibits and I was impressed. This building is incredibly clean and well maintained. They had a lot of great art there. Even though it's a very small building. There is a little bit of something for everybody, and I'm really glad that I stopped by.
The security guard and the lady that were at the museum today were very friendly and very helpful. There is so much great art here and you should stop by if you are in the area because it would only take about 30 minutes or so to...
Read moreWe love this museum and will become friends...I was very pressed we took part in a scavenger hunt and was greeted by a very knowledgeable host that introduced us to the Art the museum has on display..we saw local art and voted on a winner I wish the children's art area was open to see but we will come back another time..we had lunch I packed in the butterfly garden and had plenty of butterflies to see then sat by the water fountain in the shade..we spent about 2 hrs there then headed over to the oprah house to watch SEACT musical great afternoon...
