Read moreOur ride on The Wheel at ICON Park was one of the highlights of our Orlando trip. It’s a relaxing, beautiful, and surprisingly serene way to see the city from a whole new perspective. If you’re looking for something a little different from the usual theme park rush, this is a perfect change of pace.
From the moment we arrived at ICON Park, we were impressed. The area is clean, modern, and has a great energy. There are lots of restaurants, shops, and attractions all around, so it’s easy to make a full afternoon or evening out of your visit. Parking was free and easy to find, and everything was clearly marked.
The boarding process for The Wheel was efficient and smooth. The staff was very friendly and helpful, answering questions and ensuring everyone felt comfortable and safe. The capsules are fully enclosed, climate-controlled, and spacious — much larger than we expected — with enough room to move around and take in views from every angle. It didn’t feel crowded at all, and the air conditioning was a welcome break from the Florida heat.
As the ride began, we were instantly captivated by the view. The ascent is slow and steady, giving you time to take it all in. By the time we reached the top, we could see for miles in every direction — from the downtown Orlando skyline to the theme parks in the distance, and even as far as the horizon. If you time your ride for sunset or twilight, you’re in for a truly breathtaking experience as the city lights start to twinkle and the sky glows with color.
What we appreciated most was the calm, almost meditative feeling of the ride. There’s no rushing, no jostling — just a peaceful 20-minute journey above the city. It’s perfect for families, couples, or even solo travelers. We saw young kids excited to point out landmarks, couples taking in the romantic view, and others just enjoying the quiet moment away from the busy tourist spots.
After the ride, we explored the rest of ICON Park, which added to the experience. There are fun bars, dessert spots, sit-down restaurants, and quick eats — something for everyone. It’s a great place to spend a few hours without feeling overwhelmed.
In all, The Wheel at ICON Park offers a unique and memorable view of Orlando, wrapped in a relaxing and enjoyable experience. It’s perfect for first-time visitors, locals looking for a fun night out, or anyone wanting to see the city in a different light. We’re so glad we did it, and we’d...
Read moreThe worse experience ever not because we could not enjoy the ride but because a of the lies of the staff members. We visited on 5/13/25 bought the tickets at the location at around 1230, visited the Madame Tussaud and the aquarium, came out to the eye at 220 and it was raining so we were told the ride can not work when is storming and that is understandable. They said it will resume when the weather get better, well it stop raining at 330 at 4pm they told us when the weather gets better they will start. IT WAS BIEGHT AND SUNNY OUTSIDE AND ALL THE OTHER ATRACTIONS WHERE WORKING. But they still saying at this time that the attraction was being check running the checks too resume BUT THEY NEED TO MAKE AURE IT WAS ALL WORKING PROPERLY and they did not know how long it was going to take, WELL THEY OPEN THIS RIDE EVERY DAY THEY SHOULD KNOW HOW LONG TAKES TO RUN THE CONTROLS. We waited until after 6pm and at this point decided to go home not only wasting my money or time all day at the place but needing to travel 3 hours to get home, money was not return and we were lied to, my opinion they ride was either broken or they just did not want to turn in on for 2 hours but it was very disappointing that they keep saying the will open as soon as possible. I have pictures to show the post in their entrance saying closed due to the weather and pictures showing the beautiful weather outside and pictures of the supervisor tag that came out to lie to us but this site is not letting me post it, OH AND BY THE WAY WHEN THE SAW ME TAKING THE PICTURES THEY QUICKLY REMOVED THE SIGN BUT IT WAS TOO LATE...
