It is a nice park, some of the people who come are super arrogant. Not sure if it is the area or bad luck. The lot was packed full because a near by school lets out daily in the late afternoons. 7 handicap parking spaces are open I pulled into one so my kids could hop in my car, mind you my car is running. A “Karen” for the lack of her name, comes up to me and starts in on me on how she “hates people like me” parking in handicap parking, I politely told her I’m not parked I am loading up, and there are 5-6 other spots adjacent to me for anyone else to use. (Still in my car with it running). Then she unloads her kids from the handicap parking. She kept coming back to my car to yell, kept coming closer and closer to try and pick a fight, I told her I am not parked or do I plan to, just let my kids get in my car. She herself wasn’t handicap, she had a high functioning downs child about 11 years old, he was completely able bodied and ready to get in the splash pad. She was still set on trying to fight with me. Meanwhile cars lined up behind us, due to the time of day and heavy traffic, still a few parents pulled in and out of handicapped spots while she argued with herself, finally I was able to back out. I am just glad she left my kids alone. She isn’t a police officer, but has no problem harassing people and scaring other kids on a splash pad? Her constant provoking behavior was not appropriate, I could see if I had parked illegally or if there are other places for my kids to get in my car safely, but there wasn’t. Watch out for Karen (she lives near by and hates people who don’t parking at the park), she has no issue yelling and approaching your vehicle with kids all around. Posting photos of parking (at any other time of day, super nice and plenty of parking), after school lets out it is packed for about 35-55 minutes around 3pm M-R (not the best time to show up for the splash pad, give it 30-40 min to clear out). To have someone come after me and yell how much she hates people, I front of kids...

The running trail is sidewalk but mostly across the street. You won't be making any speed records but can manage a gentle or recovery jog. The baseball infield is nice.. The bathrooms, like most everything else here, appears to receive little maintenance or cleaning. On the bright-side, single and attentive dads with hand sanitizer might make a good splash...

I actually really like this splash pad. Not to big, but not too small either. The river is amazing. I have young kids, so it was great for them. It does feel a little on the smaller kids size, I’m not totally sure if teenagers would like it.
There is a lot of shade over the water and plenty of grassy area. The bathrooms are so clean, but it’s probably because it’s new
Also, I don’t love the giant rocks in the middle of the pad, but they seem to be stepped and big enough that kids can’t...
