I have been coming into this store sinse they opened. was slightly disappointed in the beginning due to they opened with only half the store filled. Now that they have been open for a few months I will give the store its rating. this store gets one star due to its inventory and the way they value there customers.
lets start with there inventory when you walk in you will be shocked by what they have but when you start looking they have very little inventory but what they have done is spread it out same items all over the store. I came in two weeks ago looking for a reloading die they only had them from one manufacture and it was $15 more expensive then bass pro shops. and they cary no other loading supplies except for the plastic bins you put your reloads in. with the cost of ammo you would think reloading equipment would be a great seller. what do I know just a gun fanatic.
and lets talk customer service a little over a month ago I wanted a mini red dot to install on my glock. coming from out of the area I called first to check inventory the said come on in we have a couple to choose from so I drive 40 min to find out the guy on the phone had no idea what a mini red dot was and thought that all 10 optics they had were red dots. yes I said 10 optics great inventory. but turns out they had one a bushnell that was there display unit figured it would work fine it could only be a couple months old at best but I was wrong. installed it on my glock took to the range would light up didn't bring extra battery so went home pulled it off the gun changed the battery and reinstalled it sighted it in and yesturday in my gun room checked the sight to see if it would light up worked so i returned to the range and gus what it wouldn't turn on. I removed from the gun boxed it back in the original box with everything that came with it and tried to return to the store today suposivily the store manager was taking care of me first said she wouldn't refund my money due to stuff missing in the box but she didn't know what was missing I didn't know either every thing that was there when I bought it was there I informed her that it was a open box when I got it. she trhen said that I was over the 30 day return policy by two days and she cant refund due to that now her claim was the receipt would be in here computer I had my copy of the receipt. She said to bad that is policy and she wouldn't do anything about it . They riped me off for 170.00 and I wont return.
Good luck on your purchases if you decide to buy from there or take my advise GO TO BASS PRO SHOPS they have a real selection and inventory and a no hassel...
Read moreI try not to write bad reviews for small businesses and I try to talk to a manager or owner before I do so, to see if I'm missing something... I've given these guys a chance and now I have no choice - A couple of weeks ago I called to see if they carry the Beretta PX4 and whether they offer it for rent at their range. The answer was yes to both so I left work early the following day and drove out for an hour in traffic to have enough time to try it out at the range and purchase it if I like it. Range experience was fine, process a bit slow but nothing too out of the ordinary. Tested out the gun and decided to head into the store to purchase. While I waited at the gun counter for 30 minutes for the one dude to finish up with other customers, I checked out their website and saw an ad for $75 off on the PX4, valid from July 15th through December 31, 2023. Finally another dude showed up so I asked to purchase the handgun. He said they were all out. I asked if they just sold the last and he said that they've been out for months. hmmmm.... On my way out I noticed the shelves were bare all over the store so I walked up to the manager and asked if they were shutting down the location. He seemed surprised and upset at the question. I pointed to the bare shelves as my reasoning and he said they are a family owned business struggling to get back on their feet after covid... Weird since every other gun store was killing it during covid and things have not slowed at the ones I usually frequent... I then asked about the PX4. He said they have not had it in months. I mentioned I called the dau before and was told to come down cause they had them for sale. He just shrugged. I then mentioned the ad on their website and he said he has no clue about it. Last ditch try, I called the Vacaville branch and asked about the PX4. I was told they had it. I decided to call the next day, before driving over and was told they've been out for months. Then I asked about the Walther PDP they had an ad for on their website and was told they've been out for months even though the ad is from October 30th through December 15th 2023... I asked if the ad was geared towards LEO's only (no mention of that on the ad) since the Walther PDP is not on the CA roster and the guy who I was talking to, a handgun salesman, said he didn't know about the ad, didn't know whether the PDP is on the roster or not, and he didn't know who to ask to get answers to my questions. I'm writing this review with the hopes the owners of GF0 will see it an address these issues. I'll be more than happy to spend my $$$$ there...
Read moreNEVER COME HERE. I came in for their sale, which was not great but decent enough on some firearms. I purchased a shotgun and waited for my background check. Was told I could come in on the 16th to pick it up, so I came in at 9am opening and they ran everything, paperwork, thumb prints, copies my driver license again. After about 45 mins waiting they finally tell me I couldn't take it because background check didn't clear yet until 2:33pm which will be the full 10 days. So I left, I understood this was protocol. I left and came back at 5:30pm to pick it up. Kevin told me to only talk to him so that things wouldn't get messed up. They shuffled papers around for a while, couldnt find the shotgun in their inventory. I waited and waited and suddenly I hear a GUN SHOT in the store. My nephew was shocked and scared. Their new employee accident shot one of their guns in the store. Super un safe practices. The other employees including Kevin, reached for their firearms and yelled out " What's going on, who was that?!?!?!" I told my nephew to stay calm. Turns out it was a accident but scary being late in the day at closing time in a GUN SHOP. So we finished the paperwork, he apologized, I thanked him and left. Today, Monday the 17th. Tim calls me "manager of firearm sales" I better drive 45 miles back down their store to sign two more papers, because they forgot to tell me to sign it. While they were shuffling papers, they forgot to tell me to sign two places. Which isn't my fault because they told me we were done. TIM DEMANDS me in the tone of his voice. I told him I'd have to drive 45 miles back to him and 45 miles back home. He said "I need your commitment and I need it asap". I told him this isn't my fault, now the sale price doesnt even seem really worth it, especially driving back like that. I told him this is a inconvenience and he just didn't care. This is not good customer service. Talking stern and down on your customers isn't how you deal with them. I didn't do anything wrong, I didnt steal the gun, I didn't yell at them, I wasn't hard to deal with. I came in because of a sale, bought a firearm within 30 mins, paid in full, and waited 10 days, came back and wasted time, then was put in a uncomfortable situation with a gun going off, then called the next day demanding me to come back. NOT HAPPY, NEVER COMING BACK. I want to know if the owner knows the way his managers are running his...
