I totally respect that this location was opened a few days ago, but we didn't have a good experience there. It was a sunday evening and the cafe was not even crowded, so I ordered a few savory pies and a pastry. A person behind the counter looks confused, and honestly, it was hard to hear him. No, we were the only ones at the counter, so there was no line behind us. I asked him, "Sir, we can't hear you. Did you get our order?" He said, "Yes, we have an order and will warm your food." I asked, "But did you get all four orders?" Then I asked, "Can we order Adani tea, please?" He said you have to order there, where no one was waiting for us to take an order. He went inside and asked the guy to take our tea order, and it looked like he was trying to find someone else to take our order. Finally, a girl came from the other side, and he asked her, "Where were you?" Then she took over our 3 cups of tea order. Thank God it was not busy; otherwise, mismanagement could have made it chaotic. We asked them to warm the chicken and potato pie, but it was cold inside, and the taste was very bland. The Adani chai was okay, but I had a better one at Qamaria Fremont. The price was okay. We cleaned our table after eating, but most of the tables were still dirty, and people left their leftovers on them. So I don't know what happend. In the first week, they couldn't hire people to clean the tables right away, so people could use clean tables. There is enough parking, and the furniture and decor are nice, but looking at dirty tables reduces your mood. Now we're going back, we...
Read moreWe visited this new Dublin location this past Saturday, and while I know they just opened, the experience was frustrating to say the least. There were only a few people ahead of us in line, and the café was busy but not overcrowded. We ordered two drinks and a pastry. A simple order, but after waiting 40 minutes with no update, we finally went to the pick-up counter to ask about it.
At that point, I noticed the customer who had been ahead of us was cancelling his order for the same reason. When I asked about ours, the staff apologized and said there might be an issue with the system. The communication behind the bar seemed disorganized and chaotic. They mentioned they’d make it up to us with something extra, but that never happened.
To make things worse, while our pastry box was sitting at the counter, one of the employees noticed what seemed to be her friends picking up an online order. Without asking or confirming, she handed our pastry box to them. She didn’t acknowledge or apologize for the mistake, and although they replaced the pastry, it was just one more disappointing moment in an already chaotic visit.
I’ve been to their Oakland location several times and always had great service and coffee there. Unfortunately, this new Dublin location has a lot to work out. I really hope they can get things running more smoothly as this experience was a...
Read moreI couldn’t be happier to have Delah Coffee in Dublin! They have delicious eats and drinks, and you just can’t beat the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
I’m going to start with customer service because it is on point—even when faced with long lines, the staff are professional, efficient, and so friendly. They amassed quite a crowd today, yet Delah’s staff kept things moving!
Also, the location is pretty big so despite a busy afternoon, I didn’t struggle to find a place to sit.
Highlights: Don’t miss the bee bites if you’re looking for something slightly sweet. This soft bread stuffed with small bites of cheese and honey drizzle is, for good reason, a favorite.
The chicken fatayer is by far the best thing I’ve tried at Delah. Flavorful and seasoned to perfection, I never get tired of it. The adeni chai is another hit—the spices are perfectly balanced. The chicken wrap and potato fatayer also deserve an honorable mention.
Overall, stopping by Delah is always a delight and I’m just thrilled to have such a wonderful coffeehouse in the...
