I've been coming to Yafa for years and they've never disappointed. The falafel wrap is my favorite, they can even make it vegan if you request it. The falafel is so crispy and crunchy on the outside yet so soft and delicate on the inside. The serving size is also very generous. The actual size of the wrap is huge. I can only eat one half and typically save the other half for later in the day. I'm not complaining by any means!
Also, you have to get the French fries here. I think their fries are my favorite fries in general. I have no idea what the seasoning is but it's amazing. I would even stop by here just for the fries if I just wanted a snack.
They sell baklava as well. The cashew one is delicious. Great texture overall and not too sweet.
The customer service is always friendly. They even have a point system so you get free meal items every now and then if you frequent the place. I would frequent this place even if they didn't have a points incentive.
Yafa is Palestinian owned and they have their story and photos posted. It's always lovely to see a restaurants mission statement and how they genuinely love what they serve and just want others to experience the great recipes.
I will continue to the enjoy the food here. I hope they open another location in the east bay in the future. I go to the Dublin and Livermore...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the worst and awful experience in my all visits to Yafa Hummus. We asked for two back home style shawarmas with extra chicken and gyro for take out. For some reason the chef was making the shawarma while he was making the lady (I believe manager) interrupted the former chef and start making the shawarma with burnt gyro pieces only no chicken and when I have already paid extra for extra chicken and gyro she refuse to add even the sauce and salad thats very rude firstly you interrupted the other chef and making awful shawarma. Instead of apologizing, the (she) manager started giving attitude and said you should have told you need to pay extra, how much extra do you want the customer to pay for shawarma. I was shocked by her attitude. She obviously is doing well but her lack of appreciation of someone's order and fixing the issue was shocking. She was blaming us for not saying to while we order. Typically, food places, give sauce with wraps when I asked for garlic and hot sauce she (manager) said you need to pay for the sauce too š In this world, people just care about making money and sometimes forget how to treat people and clients. I was so disappointed by the treatment of yafa hummus staff I think I will ever go if my order is not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy job catered here in May of 2024 and it was good. So I went a week later and it was good and the service and atmosphere was good. I went back today July 10th 2024 and the atmosphere was decent, the food was subpar, I ordered a gyro and the pita was over cooked. It was crunchy but I put up with it because I did not want to drive back to dublin, and the service was horrible. I walked in and the guy at the counter just looked at me, did not say hi, welcome in.. nothing, and then and when he finally came to take my order he walked off before I could pay and I had cash so I stood there as he went back over to help push out more orders and finally came back to complete the transaction that had timed out. He took my payment, and then did not give me a receipt, I had to ask him for it and when I did he saidā oh you want a receipt?ā Very rude and not welcoming at all and I donāt appreciate it. Not to mention when my food was boxed it was not closed and sealed properly I had to close one of the boxes once I got to the car. I can find another Mediterranean establishment to go to if this is the sort of customer service and food this...
