Duncanville Community Theatre — Attraction in Duncanville

One of my favorite community theaters to frequent (setting aside that my brother and sister-in-law are in many of the shows!). Everyone is so friendly and inviting, parking is very accessible, and they even make the email reservation and ticket-holding process painless!

One recommendation that the staff will confirm: You'd be well advised to bring a small fleece blanket or warm jacket with you no matter the weather outside as the room is often quite chilly (but not freezing); trust me when I tell you that no one will look at you twice if you come in with one or two blankets stashed under your arm. You'll fit right in.

I didn't pay close attention to their discount policy when I was last there to see exactly how many they offer, but I can tell you that in our party, we received discounts for having a teacher, a student, and a patron over the age of 55 in our midst. Great value for a great time of...

While the persons who work there are very nice, the location (106 S. Main Street) is TERRIBLY SMALL. It fits so few people and the audience practically sit elbow to elbow. Every cough, Every laugh is or seems right where you are. And when the air conditioning kicks on, it’s like sitting in a freezer!

The acting was not that good (for Prescription:Murder) which made the conditions not worth tolerating. At intermission, bypassed the $10 small coffee and departed. Watched "Always Patsy Cline" and it was a cute show. Theater is way smaller than I thought it'd be and it felt like a freezer in there, so definitely take a sweater (even if it's 110 outside ). The ticket prices are a bit higher since this is a small venue, but since it's a local community...
