Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Duncanville

I am so heartbroken to see the Duncanville DQ going down the tubes.

We stopped to get dinner tonight. We ordered and at the window they gave us our drinks and asked us to pull around. We pulled around and waited 15 minutes. Finally, a young lady comes out with food. She asks me what we ordered, I told her. She asked for my receipt, she reads it and then said, "Sorry, this isn't yours."

We waited another 15 minutes and over that time, I watched a lot of upset customers have words with the girls behind the counter. I watched at least 5 different customers get upset enough to raise their voice.

At the 30 minute mark of my wait, I got out of my car and went inside. I told the young lady at the counter that if my food wasn't ready, I wanted a refund. She took my receipt, and started digging through food in the kitchen window. She handed the cook my receipt, and he grabbed the bag of food she brought out the first time. It had been sitting in that window for 15 minutes. It was my order. It had everything we asked for. She was reading the wrong receipt when she brought it out to me.

As I was leaving, another customer walked up to the counter and asked for a manager. I looked at all the employees and realized there was not a single adult in the crowd. It was all kids.

I absolutely don't blame the KIDS who were working tonight. I blame the ADULTS who left them without any management or supervision. They were completely overwhelmed. I hope the owner gets this fixed ASAP. If DQ has a few more nights a like tonight, they will lose all of...

They have hours listed as closing at 9:00pm. The last couple of times we've tried to go we got there just before 8:30. The first time we got there all the employees were hanging out on the side of the building in the parking lot fooling around. We sat there for a minute but no one made a move to come back in so we just left. The next time we showed up at 8:30 all the chairs were already on the tables and the kid was cleaning up. If the closing hours are 9:00 then stay up and running until 9:00. The store is also getting a bit old and run down. They generally always get something in the order wrong as well and this drive-thru takes forever. Recently we thought we'd try it again. Bad Idea! When we arrived there was a homeless person standing inside the restaurant staring into the trash can for several minutes. He then reached into the trash pulled out some food that had been thrown away and began eating it. He then turned and just stood there and creepily stared at my wife and I. After several minutes he walked outside and stood just a couple of feet from the drive through and stared at the people waiting in line while talking to himself. After several minutes of that he walked back over to the entry door and and stood outside and just stood there staring into the restaurant and talking to himself. I asked the person behind the counter if they were going to do anything about the person and ask him to leave. She told me no and asked me what could she do and said...

Typically I have decent service when I go to Dairy Queen but this particular day made every experience horrible. I was going to go to the drive-through but it was pretty long so I decided to park and went inside. As I walked in I could see the look on Tierra face, which had a disgusting looking, almost as if she farted and it smelled and she knew it. Nonetheless, I knew my order was gonna be small and quick and I would be in and out. I ordered three items which two were made immediately and the other was a small fry. I was in the Dairy Queen waiting for about 15 minutes for a small order of fries in between my experience I seenTierra taking orders, she had an attitude the whole time, the only time she smiled was whenever she was giving them their items I guess she was glad to get them out of her face. As they were pushing out orders I could hear the guy in the back letting them know orders were ready. On one order I could hear Tierra specifically say y’all take it to them but she seem to be the runner for both the cashier and the food orders even on one order she didn’t even take it to them she just called out the number multiple times for them to come.

the manager seem to be coming out taking out drive-through orders so I don’t know what Tierra’s problem was, she wasn’t having to take those orders outside. Nonetheless I won’t plan to visit here anymore because it Tierra and her bad attitude and I used to like Dairy Queen. Put her...
