We go here before buying anything new. We’ve purchased lots of clothing, shoes, sandals, winter boots, skis, ski boots, camping gear, backpacks, a Rocky Mounts bike rack, and much more. I LOVE Durango Outdoor Exchange! It is, without a doubt, the biggest little Mom-n-Pop outdoor gear shop you'll find this side of the Mississip'. They have tons of used and new gear for one to peruse. The staff? Very welcoming and very knowledgeable about local trails and the gear you need. True story - out of the 3 different stores I called, they were the one that immediately understood what i was looking for when i asked if they had any bear canisters. Occasionally I find great deals here on clothes and gear but lately the quality of the clothes seems really poor. I do like name brands like Patagonia, Marmot, etc. but when they are really worn out and/or extremely stained I won’t buy. I wish they expanded to a variety of brands and focused on quality.

Saw the response and wanted to add more info. The last few times I’ve brought in lightly used, high quality clothes to consign I was turned away because they weren’t certain brands. I found that odd because I’ve brought in these brands to consign in the past and those items sold quickly.
